Purchased on impulse. (it was in the check-out line). When I first saw this I thought what a great collectible but knew I would not be able to keep myself from opening it as my wife would demand, and the store was closing in 5 minutes and it was Christmas Eve, so purchased 3! One to open and have some fun with, one to keep mint in the box and the other to sell when the day comes I can sell it and recoup my total cost for all 3 and maybe even make a little extra?! It's only been 3 months since and I think I could have done this. Appropriate for kids of all ages, 5-105. The box says there are lots of different sounds but I have yet to hear past maybe 4 or 5 combinations. You may have to trigger the various sounds with a specific movement. At the time of purchase, my wife wanted to get our dogs a cool toy, something "special/different" for the holidays and this turned out to be just the thing to spark up the scene. I'm surprised they haven't attempted to tear it apart. I think they may have a certain respect for it since it has hair and talks. They simply smell it whenever they bump into it and it responds in Wookie, so we use it as a hallway guard. It seems to be high quality and star wars and high quality, usually translates to something cool and collectible, eventually valuable (if not overproduced which I don't think this was). I'm pretty sure this is a fresh idea and not a reproduction of an older toy. This would probably be the perfect size Wookie for those large size "Action" figures. Did you know the Wookie is actually from the Planet of the Ewoks! A nice book or comic with the history would have been really cool. In conclusion.... Buy it! Buy 3! A must for any Star Wars fan and a great way to introduce the world of Star Wars to a young or very old child (grandma will love it and it will teach her what Star Wars is about! Gramps may not appreciate it, unless he already loves Star Wars.). (As always with all goods, check the age on the box that it is age appropriate for your child and always supervise your children until you feel safe and confident they will not "play with it" in a way for which it was not intended.) A unique long term collectible!

I bought this when it was a “deal of the day” at a substantial discount over the full retail price, which I would not have paid. It was a Christmas gag gift that truly turned out to be a hoot, because the family dog took up with “Chewie” like he was another dog!! My 13 year old granddaughter also loves to play with it (and tease the dog). It turned out to be the “hit” surprise gift at Christmas, and we’ve certainly had our money’s worth of laughs out of it. I suppose younger kids would like it if they know what a Wookie is. This certainly won’t appeal to everyone, but to Star Wars fans and folks with dogs that look like Chewie,, get ready to laugh!

This is one of the best toys I ever had, I loved this Chuy, I enjoy a lor talking with him and making him angry or when he is singing with the music

It's a really nice gift for Star Wars fans out there! Chewy looks really cute and the size is pretty much perfect for both kids and kids at heart. However, there are 3 downsides to this: 1. You can hear mechanical sounds as the toy is moving and making noise. 2. Chewy's not so fluffy and his fur almost feels matted ;( 3. Batteries die fast. However, it's just a really cool toy to have!

This wookie is ultra cool with his movements, expressions, and sounds. Talk to him and he moves and makes over 100 sounds.

This toy was a very good size and has a lot of interaction. If a star wars fan I recommend.

I thought I'd love this thing being a giant star wars nerd but comes to find out my wife has hardly left this guy alone. She always loved bears and this thing takes the Cake for a stuffed animal and a great toy chewie has so many sayings and expressions it almost seems endless.

I ordered this for the youngest grandson who is five at same time I ordered the Apple gc, the toy showed up before the card. Teen wanted it more than the toddler. I should have bought 4 instead of one. They all wanted one!

This is a very well made toy, and great way to imagine having a pet Chewie. The hair is sticky, so will take 30 - 60 minutes to groom him. But once you do that his hair is like a dog.

The perfect co-pilot for any kids daily adventures. Fun to have around to inject star wars into your day to day activities.

This is a very expensive toy for a child, but I happened to get it at a very reasonable price on clearance. I would never have purchased this for my toddler anywhere close to retail. Besides the price, it's a very sophisticated piece of hardware and just awsome for any Star Wars fan.

THIS TOY IS SO MUCH FUN. THE FUNNIEST EASTER EGG WAS LEARNING THAT IF YOU PLAY THE STAR WARS SONG WHERE HE CAN HEAR IT HE GROWLS ALONG. TOO FUNNY!

I wanted one of these for my fiance ever since they were previewed, but the price tag they were initially released out was ridiculous. I told him not to expect one, but then Best Buy had them heavily discounted just before Christmas, and I pulled the trigger. At the price I paid, the joy of watching him groan and growl in response to my fiance's noises was worth it. The detailed movement in Chewie's eyes and lips conveys a good amount of emotion, and definitely try the extended tummy press and lay him down for some extra laughs!

My daughter has had a Fur Real pet before so we are familiar with the type of product we were expecting but this goes far and above what we thought it would be. I had seen the videos online of the product before the release and apparently so had my 9yo Star Wars crazy daughter. She is a huge Chewbacca fan and we decided this would be a great Xmas gift for her. She carries it everywhere and loves it to pieces. It does everything the manual says and she looked over the instructions and figured out everything she wanted it to do.

Great quality on fur and details. Lots of fun time. Kids love playing with him and has many different phrases and unique chewie screams.

This was a gift for my girlfriend and she absolutely loved it. He is such a fun toy. I love the way he interacts with us or any noise.

My daughter loves this toy. It's her baby. She will literally tell us to be quiet because get baby is sleeping. He snores!!

I got it on sale and even at full price so worth it .sounds just like Chewy .Buy it if u see it at and a Star Wars fan.

My son loves star wars and just loves this toy. He wont put it down. The many phrases and movements make him laugh

I bought this for my 7 year old grandson, but I think the adults and older kids had more fun with it than he did!
