I can finally watch the series from beginning to end at my leisure. I got the entire series for $9.99/season brand new rather than having to buy it used from Amazon. Haven't watched all of the extras but then it usually takes a while to get to those

Love the series! I wish Stargate was still on the air, since it’s not this is a great way to watch the episodes again or watch them with someone that hasn’t seen it yet. Great quality Blu-rays, a must have for any Sci-fi fan!

Watched the show on tv and enjoyed it. Bought it to add to my collection. Great show for those who enjoy the complexities of space travel through wormholes.

The second season blu ray set of Stargate: Atlantis is a good treatment of this show. Good presentation. Clean transfer.

This series is an after effect of SG1. Some of the actors should have had better lines. Other then that it is a good series.

As with season one, I have very few to little complaints with the actual episodes of the show (because it's awesome!). Actually, this season's DVD release fixed all of my main problems with the first season. The menus were easy to access and didn't take several seconds (that seem much longer than normal seconds) to load. Also, they have added scene selection! In conclusion, although this set doesn't have any bloopers or deleted scenes, the menus and disc content are wonderful. That's about it for those who only care about the quality of the discs, because the next paragraph is SPOILERS. Stop reading now if you don't want to know. *SPOILERS* So, what happens in this season? Atlantis successfully stops the Wraith siege on the city in a rather amazing way (I'm not telling you how, you'll just have to see it yourself), but loses a valued team member in the process. Said regular does not die, but goes insane and runs away. Now it wouldn't make much sense to just leave a gaping hole in the middle of the cast now would it, so the writers invented a new character called Ronon Dex (Atlantis's version of a rogue Teal'c). Again, I will refrane from giving you too much detail on his character, you'll just have to buy, rent, or borrow the set (or even read the transcripts or check your library...). The mid-season cliff-hanger features the return of our lost insane friend whom I mentioned earlier. Of course, there are several more adventures before you get to the last three episodes. By the time you finish "Michael", you'll know that we can turn wraith into humans (and apparently vice versa in "Conversion"). In "Inferno", we get to see a sweet super-volcano eruption and see the Atlantis team get a new starship called the Orion. Finally, in "Allies" Michael returns and we learn that the wraith can feed on each other. That's all for today's annoying review, I hope it helped (at least a little)!

I have loved Atlantis since my teen daughter introduced me to it. The special effects are very well done. The writing is professional, each character is well developed. The acting is great, especially David Hewlett(Dr. McKay), Joe Flanigan(John Sheppard), and Paul McGillion(Dr. Beckett). They really delve into the minds of their characters. My favorite episodes would probably be "Grace Under Pressure" and "Michael." Both are intriguing and bring us inside the lives of the characters. You begin to feel as if you really know them. Fans of Star Trek will enjoy the good natured references to those characters. This said, I would not recommend this for viewing by preteens and younger. There is swearing and some innuendo, and the realism could scare them. But, all in all, I think this is a great series for teens and adults who love SciFi, or just great adventure!

I had to have this show because I had all the other one and all of SG-1's and I cant have anything thats not finished. I do like this show its another point of view on the stargate in another place. This seasons special features include: Commentarys, Mission Directive Featurettes, Photo gallerie, Intoduction to character Ronon Dex featurette, Stunts featurette, profile on David Hewlett featurette, and Profile on Paul McGilon featurette.

After an exciting season finale last season and the season premier in Season 2, Stargate Atlantis is back for a pretty good second season. Decent character development, good stories and bad guys. Worth owning.

Stargate Atlantis: The Second Season is much better than the First season. a must buy if you liked season 1 at all.
