Stargate Great TV series and I love these graphics

Some of the discs have problems playing, exchanged the set, second set has same issues as the first.

Stargate Atlantis takes the concept of Stargate SG-1 and expands on it. In this series, a multi-national team steps through the stargate and emerges in Atlantis, which happens to be in the Pegasus galaxy, a galaxy so far away they needed a massive power boost to get there. Once there, they meet the Wraith, a terrifing vampiric race that feeds on Human life. Stargate Atlantis is an action sci-fi series. There are lots of exciting action scenes in almost every episode. From white knuckle ground based combat to thrilling space battles. Each episode boasts a fine array of visual effects and some nicely executed stunt-work. This is one of the most exciting sci-fi series the small screen has ever seen. The characters are great too. Some of the SG-1 cast appears here and there, but the focus is one the new cast. From Lt. Col. John Sheppard, the everyman-type, to arrogant genius Rodney McKay, to beautiful warrior Teyla and the rough and tumble warrior Ronan. All characters develop well over time (and reveal a few surprises along the way). In the fourth season, Col. Samantha Carter (played by Amanda Tapping) led the Atlantis expedition but left at the beginning of the fifth season. I would have liked to have seen more ef her as the leader. The extras are good. Lots of background on the making of the series. The more interesting ones show how some of the visual and make-up effects were done. I recommend this for any sci-fi fan.

Stargate Atlantis is just as good as SG-1. 100 good episodes with a decent amount of extras and commentaries. Only negative is the sleeves in this complete series case do not protect the discs very well and have to carefully slide them in and out.

This series is a great addition to those who loved stargate SG-1, Atlantis keeps you on the edge of your seat with the action.

Do not buy this!!!!!!!! the dvd packaging puts scratches on the dvds well some of them. but most of them have a line across them from the packaging that can be mostly rubbed out with micro cloth and rubbing alcohol without having to buy a dvd cleaning device. so you're almost better off watching the bootleg ones. or buying the seasons individually idk how the packaging is like this on thos too, soo maybe not. but so far iv had near the end of the 2nd episode on disk one freez episode 1 an 2 are put together. and episode 3 did not start either so all of disk one was messed up untill i put it in a dvd cleaner i bought from best buy which dosnt take out the scratches completely it just puts more scratches on the dvd to get rid of the old ones. but after that i was able to get episode 4 to play. and the rest of the disks but 1 looked ok besides that line i talked about earlier. the other one has scratches in one little area.

Nice to see the Stargate storyline continue and still be entertaining, well worth watching.

This is the best series in the Stargate line, and for $40 it is hard to pass up.

I absolutely love everything Stargate. However, the box set is over priced big time. I don't see any notable differences between the box set and the individual seasons. The set is $90 where as I can buy the individual seasons and save $40 as they are $10 each. So simple math 5 seasons X $10 each = $50 Individual seasons $50 VS Box set $90

Disc 3 of season 1 has bad sectors which interfere with watching most of the episodes. But episode "The Eye" is not viewable. Season 2 disc 1 also has bad sectors. I returned the first set (ordered on-line) and got a replacement. It had bad sectors in the same places as the first set. This indicates that the copy masters have the bad sectors.
