It's pretty slow to start. My initial reaction to the show itself was pretty negative after Stargate Atlantis was cancelled, but I tried to watch this anyway. I didn't like the first episode and quit right there. Years later, having re-watched the previous Stargate series, I decided to give Universe another shot, and this time around I find it to be much better. I do still think it's slow to start, but there's a good story in there somewhere. Also, it's always nice to see appearances from former cast members. Since we know this is the last part of the TV franchise, I'd say it's worth watching just to have the whole story.

Holy smoke!!!! This show was amazing and very entertaining in the same tradition as SG-1 & SG Atlantis. I am so mad they cancelled it because the end of season two left so many questions! Great characters, thrilling plot, tid bits of romance and fabulous science fiction. Even though it doesn't have an official ending, I still recommend watching it for the experience alone.

Not as exciting as the original Stargate. I did like that the members of Stargate SG1 showed up now and then. It was interesting but not as exciting. Did get a little bored at times.

This was a really good series set in the Stargate universe. It's to bad it got canceled after only two seasons. Glad to be able to add the Blu-ray for season one to my collection. Only wish season 2 was available on Blu-ray as well.

By far the BEST Stargate Series... Just a warning it starts off slow, but get through the first 3 episodes and trust me you will love it. Not bubblegummy like the others takes place as iff real people are in this type of situation. Its Gritty and SO well written, with a darker edge. SO RECOMMEND THIS SERIES

i got 11 different sets in two more on 8th. all 11 sets as ordered mint sealed.i was lucky to get all 10 seasons of stargate sg1 plus two blu-ray movies. 3,4 will come tomorrow.

By far the best of all the Stargate TV Series. Forced to go through a Stargate in an emergency. They end up on an empty Alien ship in space. It explains where and how the Stargate's came from. Great Characters and a fantastic story line. you'll definitely want to watch season 2.

Great concept for a show. Too bad the network didn't give it more of a chance to get itself established. The story lines, acting and special effects were top notch.

I'm a huge fan of sg1 and Atlantis. Have to adjust your expectation of visual effects as well a acting.

I didn’t really like this show when it first aired, but now that I could binge it and not be overloaded with the other Stargate shows. I really enjoyed it.

This was the best season of the series. I wish it could have been maintained. Stargate Atlantis was my fav in the Stargate franchise.

Good addition if you are fond of the SG1 world. Few crossovers, but fairly different storyline and objective. Entertaining.

Great expansion to the Stargate Universe. Unfortunately the series only lasted 2 season before it was discontinued.

This is a great buy for Avid Stargate fan in quality and price.

My wife is having a great timing watching this first season from start to finish. She is a real sci-fi fan.
