Customers commend the game itself, its price point, and the fun factor, highlighting the enjoyable experience and cool toys. Positive feedback also mentions ease of use, the Star Fox theme, customization options, and the engaging storyline. However, some customers note that the controls could be improved, and the difficulty may be challenging for younger players or those new to the game. A few also mention limitations regarding the number of ships and the sturdiness of the physical figures.

    Starlink: video game with toys

Star link not Starfox game. With the Switch starter you get the Battle for Atlas game and the Starfox character with Arwing ship and weapon. This is not a Starfox game, he is just a character in it and only on the Switch platform. Enjoyable gameplay with varied environments. You can purchase the toy ships, pilots, and weapons digitally and as models at Best Buy, This can add quite a bit of cost to the game. Each pilot and ship has different strengths and abilities. Some additions are needed some are not, all can be upgraded in the game. Good game but the cost does not end with the starter bundle purchase.

    Super fun starfox-esque game

This game is a ton of fun. It’s essentially a star fox game, but more open world exploration. You go around completing objectives on worlds, and can travel through space between different worlds. Now outside what you get with the starter pack, you must purchase additional ships and weapons. Ships act as additional lives as well. You can do this physically or digitally. Physically you have a mount, which comes with this starter pack, and can dynamically swap between ships and weapons during the game. I find it quite exhilarating. Digital is usually cheaper, but when physical is on sale, I believe it’s around the same price. Up to you but I prefer physical, so wait for it to be on sale and grab the extra weapons and ships.

I'll start by saying this isn't the best game in the world, but it is unique enough to have a place on the shelf with the parts attachment system and integration. Honestly, I would not have played this game if it were not for the StarFox content. The missions do get quite repetitive and laborious after a while, but I still found it fun. Story was ok. Voice acting was so-so. Dialogue got very repetitive after a few hours. Selection of ships with parts combinations was quite good. Lots of configurations and funny combos to toy with. Overall I would say it was a decent game. I enjoyed it.

Bought this at the store for $10. Not only does it come with a free Arwing and Fox model, but it also has a game with it ! The game itself is rather fun, but has a lot of its items behind a paywall (which is expected for a Toys-to-Life type of game) but still. It can give you a decent amount of enjoyment if you enjoy games like StarFox. I do recommend buying this version if you own a Switch since Fox McCloud is included and you basically get two ships and characters instead of just the default one.

This game is really great. Don't go in expecting a standard space shooter though because this game is not. There are plenty of times you will be flying in space engaging in combat just like a true space shooter. However the bulk of this game will be spent flying around planets, gathering resources, and upgrading buildings. Even on the planets there are plenty of great battles to be had, they just play out more like a 3rd person shooter than a space shooter. I'm really enjoying the game and the nice physical toys that come with it, and are sold separately. Physically switching pilots, ships, weapons, and wings feels awesome to me. If you aren't into the toys you can swap everything in game digitally.

Our family loves to play games and the Nintendo Switch is one that we all enjoy playing (both kids and adults). Starlink: Battle for Atlas is a fun game and our kids had a great time playing. They loved the Starter pack, as well as the Weapons kit, Pilot kit and toy. This makes for a great gift all year round!

This game is truly amazing and I'm shocked how well it runs and looks on the Switch. I probably wouldn't have got this game if it wasn't on the Switch but the Star Fox content had me at "Arwing." This game is MASSIVE, with lots to do, unlock and explore. The toys are 100% optional and to get the digital versions of the toys are just about 50% cheaper. So if you don't want toys, you save money. I personally think the toys make the game even more awesome. I'm so glad I didn't hesitate buying this game, it's my 3rd favorite Switch title right after Mario and Zelda!!!!

I personally already own the digital deluxe version of Starlink: Battle for Atlas but after sinking a ton of hours in the game and becoming a fan of this new series, I had to own the Arwing toy! Starlink: Battle for Atlas was on sale plus my gamers club discount made this a no brainer to be added to my Amiibo shelf. Starlink: Battle for Atlas is ALOT of fun. It looks great, plays wonderful, pretty good story line and the additional of the Star Fox missions made this a blast. I love Star Fox and need MORE of it in my life. Ubisoft also supports this game with some free DLC like the upcoming expansion. Highly recommend it!

Starlink is a fun space combat game that also includes exploration and resource gathering. It isn't too difficult for beginners and there is enough content to keep more experienced players engaged. The toys are optional and the entire game can be played without the ship included in this set but if you are getting the Nintendo Switch version and have an affinity for Star Fox you are really doing your self a disservice if you don't get it. The Arwing looks great for the price point and if you don't want it on your controller you can always put it on your shelf.

Starlink is a good open world space exploration game that gets bogged down by it's toys to life concept. The only ships or weapons in game must be bought as either digital or physical toys and areas of the game are locked behind these elements so buyer beware. But if you're willing to make the investment Starlink should provide you with hundreds of hours of play time. Not every weapon pack or ship is necessary to complete the story but you will need at least one weapon of each type and one of those is only available with the purchase of the Neptune Ship.

I can't stop playing the game since the moment I got hang of the mechanics, story and gameplay. The toys are great looking, but not necessary. You can play the whole game without using them. I also play this game mostly in portable mode.

If your like me and loved Star Fox for N64 you will absolutely love this game. It’s everything the original game had with tons of additions and a open world concept!! You’re literally able to choose between what missions/quest you want to embark on or simply rome the Starlink Universe at your leisure. With plenty to do and tons of hidden gems this game is everything you could ask for in a Star Fox Game!!!

I've truly enjoyed this game. It keeps you on your toes when in a battle. For me, the game came as a free one when I bought the Switch last summer, just started playing it about two weeks ago (into Zelda before), the purchase date represents a gift I bought for someone else, couldn't pass up the price. Only one thing I wish was instilled in the game, unlocking upgrades when reaching certain levels instead of having to buy them when combatants are getting stronger, but, I'm making due with what I have gained.

Gaming is definitely a favorite at our house, but some of the games are simple and too boring. Therefore the kids lose interest quickly. Starlink: Battle for Atlas is so open-ended, complex and fun! My kids haven't stopped playing! #ad

This game isn’t perfect but for any fan of Star Fox this is a nice pickup. Toys to life didn’t really last as long as they had hoped so the optional add on parts for this game didn’t sell as much as they had hoped. It’s a great concept and the execution works great if you have them but if you just want to play a solid little space game this is a no brainier. Plus for $5-$10 for a legit $75 package this is a must have. Even if you never play the game the Arwing model alone is worth the price.
