Great surprise for a co-op game

Couch co-op game. Star fox character on the switch version, with special star fox missions exclusive to switch! Not a fan that the games namesake allows for planet to planet connection based on a starlink, but co-op players cannot be more than X number of meters away from each other. Also the player with the second controller is pulled to where the first controller character is. Those are the most glaring issues to me. Second, I want more! The game is short, requiring good players less than 12 hours to beat the main story. You can continue to play to clear planets of the enemy and to level up your weapons. I worry that there is not room for add-on content to tie in the few missing characters... available in europe. I really enjoy all the ship packs that add to the encompassing joy to play. I do have to admit that it is cumbersome to exchange out ships, so those playing co-op need to exercise patience.

Star Fox remains consistently entertaining. You can always rely on this franchise to stay competitive in terms of graphics, immersive gameplay in all modes, customization, and marketability. Star Fox, like Mario, is a recognizable figure that relates to all age groups and withstands the test of time.

If you haven't gotten this game yet for the switch, do it now. It's only 10 dollars. Actually less if you still have an active gamer rewards. From what I've played, this game is a lot of fun. And even if you don't like it, the toys will look good on your shelf.

StarLink (or should I say StarFox) Battle for Atlas is a fantastic open world/space shoot-em-up game, although the storyline may be StarLink's weakest point what I really admire about the game is all the attention to detail that they put into all the ships they created and all the battles in combat that you get to participate in heck even the voice acting is really good, while there are so many good things I can say about the game I still have to mention there are a few problems as well such as Texter Poppins and stuff not loading properly but these problems range from minor to nonexistent, overall the game is just a blast to play you'll actually forget about all the bad things that happen in game, Ubisoft did a great job integrating Starfox into a new universe that's why I'm giving the game a 9/10, there is still room for improvement but for now this is one of the best "StarFox" games I have ever played

Starlink is pretty fun, but it will get a little repetitive. However, the Star Fox stuff (on Switch only) makes it worth it if you're a fan. Fox and his crew aren't just tacked on - they feel like a real part of the story. This game is a good stand-in for a real Star Fox game.

This starter pack is great since it brings everything you need to start playing the game and having an awesome time. Also doesn't hurt it was on sale for $10 from its original $60 price tag. Tremendous value all the way around. Game and accessories are top notch. Simply a no-brainer!

I have always been a sucker for the toys to life concept (amiibo, Disney Infinity, Lego Dimensions) and this was a fresh take on the scene that unfortunately met poor reception and sales. However, the game itself is really fun, albeit repetitive, and served as a nice filler, since we have yet to receive a full fledged Star Fox title in some time. I began playing the game using the provided ship dock, but switched to digital ships, pilots and weapons early on due to convenience while playing. The ship itself is a nice collectible model that I now have displayed on my shelf, so no qualms there. The game is broken into 2 main gameplay types, space battles and planet exploration. There is enough switching back and forth between them that I never felt too bogged down by either, until I went for 100% completion, but a casual gamer trying to complete the storyline wouldn't have as much of an issue.

Kid appropriate and not to complicated to learn. So far it has a decent story line, gives you a spaceship and let's you go at it right from the start. Has kind of a stars wars feel. Was able to swap to swap out ships during gameplay. Not bad at all!

I was surprised to find just how fun this game was despite it being a toys to life game. You can get everything digitally (save for two exclusive items) if you would like, as it appears that Ubisoft are attempting to seperate the game and toys. The ship customizability is somewhat thorough (you can actually swap out wings, place wings on wings, and you can even put stuff on backwards, if you so choose). The Star Fox implementation into the story is well done, and the local co-op is decent fun as well. I actually bought four of these starter packs since they were only 6 dollars just to see how many wings I could stack on at a time (spoiler alert: it's 4 on each side, but you can only use 3 on each side if you actually want to move. It still detects the guns, and orientation of each individual wing and gun!). I may be an adult by now, but I am still having a blast with this, and I imagine any kid would enjoy this quite a bit as well!

I have spent a few hours playing this game. I did not think I was going to start playing it and not going to be able to put it down... but I have not been able to put it down. I purchased it on discount (blackfriday 2018) and I liked it from the start, there is a lot to do for completion style gamers to story and combat gamers. I started playing without aim assist and I love it, you can set it up the way you want. The combat is fluid and interesting with the weapons and combinations you can use, also the enemies resilience or weakness to certain weapons make the game a lot more interesting. You can play it without the toy and that makes me happy, I feel like swapping the weapons in game is faster anyway or I would imagine so, but I do not own many weapons so who knows. I did not give it 5 starts because the weapons and ship system that they have. But other than that, it is a great game.

I'm please to say that Starlink: Battle for Atlas is a very fun game. I've only played a few hours so far, but I've had a lot of enjoyment with the game.Starfox is awesome. I can't deny that. He's brilliantly weaved into the main story that it feels like it was supposed to be a Starfox game.

Very fun game very much in the vein of Star Fox. Adding Fox and the Arwing only makes this game better which makes the Switch version the definitive way to go. The toys are completely unnecessary, but they are fun especially for the kids. Overall a grea, game, and I would recommend it.

Pick this up for $5.99 absolutely an amazing deal and worth the play through. Great first game well made with a great story and love the figures but it needs more i.e ground vehicles, bigger spaceships, build a base option, things to make it less repetitive

Picked this up for $9.99. Think that was an awesome price. You get the ship, two figures and game. Haven't played it yet as it's a Christmas gift. Remember Starfox being pretty good back in the day. We will see soon. Ship looks pretty cool as do the figures.

Another game to the toys-to-life line as made popular by Skylanders, Starlink brings a very clever take on it in many different ways. First off, the toys are not just placed on some separate base, but instead connected directly to your controller. Not only that, this game lets your change out the different parts of toy on the fly from the weapons to the wings to even the pilot, each of them providing something different to the gameplay. And the gameplay is also quite fun, taking an exploratory mission-based format with an interesting take on combat thanks to being able to switch out your weapons. As for the toys themselves, they are actually quite sizable and nicely detailed, great for kids to play with outside the game and for collectors to collect and display. Overall, a great purchase for those looking for a fun and innovative space game, those who like toys and models, and especially those who are already into the toys-to-life games.

I didn't think I would enjoy the game very much but it brings back memories from when I used to play Star Fox in the past, it plays very much similarly. Game play is good the controls could be better but it's enjoyable!

This game caught me by surprise - there’s so much to do! I expected it to be like Star Fox, and it has some similar gameplay to that, but there was a lot more exploration. I really enjoyed it and can’t beat the price.

This is a good game. Not great, but good. The concept is creative, but pretty ambitious. The ships can be a little cumbersome at times on the controller, but they are lighter than you'd expect. Which can be good or bad. Depending on how you look at it. The ship models(?) are also optional to play the game. You can have the ships digitally if you prefer. The main difference is that with the models/toys, you can change parts right away. Without needing to pause the game. Controls are pretty easy to get a handle, and the exploration of the planets and space are awesome! The story and other missions could be better. It's got it's occasional quirks, though. Overall, I like this game. I got it for both Switch and PS4, but Starfox makes the game so much better! So I recommend the Switch version.
