Customers commend the game itself, its price point, and the fun factor, highlighting the enjoyable experience and cool toys. Positive feedback also mentions ease of use, the Star Fox theme, customization options, and the engaging storyline. However, some customers note that the controls could be improved, and the difficulty may be challenging for younger players or those new to the game. A few also mention limitations regarding the number of ships and the sturdiness of the physical figures.

This game is as close as we're getting to a new Star Fox game. It's a crazy amount of value for the price. Definitely plenty of fun to be had for the price. There is a 6GB patch required after the tutorial though, so you'll need internet at first.

Starlink is a return to the toys to life genre that has died out in recent years. Ubisoft teamed up with Nintendo for the Switch version of the game to include the cast of Star Fox into the game. At first I thought it would be some side after thought or cosmetic implementation but luckily that is not the case. Ubisoft has treated the Star Fox IP with as much care as they did with Mario and Rabbids. The game has a god amount of action, voice acting, nice graphics, several missions including those related to Star Fox and seamless traversal from planet to space and best of all you can play the entire game in your Arwing with Fox McCloud as you try to stop Grax and the Forgotten Legion from conquering the Atlas Star System. The Switch Starter pack comes with Fox, Another pilot, Arwing Ship, and two weapons.

The game is fun, especially if treated like a star fox spinoff. The physical edition model of the are in is actually pretty cool, with articulated wings and reasonably large. The way it all fits together is satisfying, too. Definitely a good value if it is on sale.

I feel like the people that hate this game, never played StarFox. It's the same old gags and gameplay with a modern story. It's basically a kids game, but I love it. Yes it's a little repetitive and silly voice over, but it's supposed to be.

I bought this on sale for cheap and for the price it’s great! It’s an awesome collectible and the game is good. The star fox parts are great and the only complaint is the toys to life aspect of the game.

This is a great starter set for anyone who owns a Nintendo Switch! You can buy this and all the DLC on the eShop to get the complete experience! For the $10 sale price I paid, it's a great deal to get into the Starlink world.

In what I can only call the second weirdest labor of love Ubisoft has pushed out this year, an otherwise Ubi-tastic generic open world game turns out to be a very well put together and thought out space adventure game, with Starfox tossed on to boot! While the controller mount is a bit slick and poor feeling, the amount of interaction you can do with the ship mounted on it is genuinely suprising- the system will allow and account for any physically possible attachement of any part on another part, from replacing the wings entirely with weapons to slapping wings on top of wings, the system even knows when they're placed on backwards! And to add to this, because of the inclusion of digital content that is standard to the other versions in addition to the starfox pilot and ship means that you actually receive nearly double the content of any other platform.

This is a great game. It's a mix of open world (space and planet), along with instructions on where to go next.
The cool part of this game is that apart from regular StarLink, this one has Fox McCloud from Starfox!
Highly recommended.

Really fun game to play. The toys make the game more fun and different than other switch games. It was also on the best sale I have ever seen a game on that isn’t terrible lol. 10/10 would recommend. Also the game is a great gift

Love the ability to modify the ships. In depth story and gameplay is so smooth. Multiplayer is fantastic. The fact that it came as package deal when we bought the Nintendo Switch system was great. Already added an expansion pkg.

I bought my son a new Nintendo Switch and I needed a game for it. I went online and found this. It’s a great interactive game to go with the console especially because it was on sale and way cheaper than any ordinary game.

After reading reviews, I expected something like No Mans Sky lite, and, honestly, that’s kind of what this is. It’s pretty fun overall and absolutely worth picking up, especially at the prices it’s going for right now.

Really good price for a decent game! I enjoyed playing it and it is cool to have a figure of the Arwing. Game does not include all dlc some weapons for the ship are needed to unlock doors.

I bought the game because StarFox, literally. I love StarFox and I'm glad they made him a character and team to join in on the fun. I seriously only use Fox/Arwing the whole game lol.
I recommend this game, it has a pretty good plot line, good story, open world/space and endless possibilities. You can go only what's limited to your ships boosters can jump you to, and there's no invisible walls or ceilings. It has a good deal of difficulty to it, even on Normal. So I don't DARE touch advanced play. Great game. My only downside is buying the extra ship guns, there should be points in the game where it rewards you the guns or makes it possible to buy with in-game currency. That's the only reason I dropped a star.

I didn't know what to expect when I picked up this game. The reviews were decent, but the toy aspect and initial thought of needing to buy toys to progress threw me off. Finding out that all ships, weapons, and pilots could be used digitally without the need for extra toys really made me feel better about this game and made me excited to progress further. Overall, the game feels like a space flight simulator that's also a third person shooter. In space it's your typical dogfights, but on planets, it's guns against enemies and you can jump, dodge, dash, put shields up, and hide behind cover like a standard third person shooter. The game is fun and the voice acting is good. I definitely recommend it!

I got this on Black Friday, so it was greatly discounted versus the normal price. The game itself is very immersive and quite entertaining. As an added bonus on the Switch, you get Fox McCloud! The ship figurine is great and it is fun to reassemble it mid-battle. HOWEVER. In order to have more lives, you need more ships. More ships (or weapons) equal more of the toys. These can quickly rack up in price. Honestly, without the discount I had received, I would not have bought this physical. I think a better option is to buy digitally; in this case, you unlock all non-exclusive ships and weapons and pilots (there are exclusives to Target and Game Stop I think).
But this great fun. If you can afford it all, go for it!

This is a great concept and was a pleasant surprise in terms of application. In other words, the game and its associated controller attachments worked great, but the gameplay was not equally intuitive!
I think the tech behind the controller attachments can be applied to a better gameplay system!
$7 gave me an in site to the applied controller tech. I gave it 3 stars because it was $7 dollars, the game plays, and the controller tech worked.
I marked it as not recommending. But I say grab it up if you can get it for $10 or less.

I’m not sure why it didn’t get much hype and was always on sale for $5. Maybe not enough marketing for it. But it’s truly a great game at a great value. Just for the figures alone it’s worth more than $5.
