Ok, so here's the deal with this. It's a great product once you figure out how to work it. First problem, don't use the recommended program on the "correct" cd that is listed in the directions. It's cheap and the program you install crashes everytime or crashes the computer. Instead, use the second cd that comes with the package. This is Presto Video Works and it works great. Second problem, I work with Adobe Premiere so I can't directly record into there. I have to use Presto Video Works to record. Then I import that video file into the Adobe Premiere program to fix extra stuff like lighting, effects, etc. although Presto does have some stuff like this (similar to what Windows MovieMaker has available). The last final problem I have been noticing is that the audio and video are off of each other by about a second. This has been easily fixed in Adobe Premiere, but I haven't bothered to try to fix it in the Presto program included in this package. In summary, I really like this product because for a pretty cheap price I can record all of my old family videos into digital and dvd copies while editing the videos in my Adobe program.

This is a great cable for the price, convenience, and audio/video import software supplied (download the latest software from the vendor's website). Once you have imported the video(s) into your PC using the vendor's software, use another program (i.e. Windows Movie Maker) to create a home video. Be sure to use a PC that uses a sound card built onto the motherboard or in an expansion slot - not a USB audio interface (or you won't be able to import the audio from your videos).
