I consider myself a pro controller enthusiast and have tried many of them. This one is by far the most expensive on the market because of its dual battery swap system allowing “infinite” battery life as well as the inclusion of an OLED screen and dock. This same battery works on Steelseries headsets which is very cool. There’s a huge problem though. This controller handles like crap. It has the worst button placements for the start/select/share buttons I’ve ever seen. The amount of times I would accidentally take a screenshot of record a video on my Xbox because of this poor placement is insane. Also out of the box the default settings this controller has plays like crap. Playing FPS like BF6 or CoD was a terrible experience for me. Maybe the settings has to be tweaked (which has to be done via computer) could have made it somewhat better but if I am paying $250 for a pro controller I should expect the bare minimum of being able to use the controller naturally out of the box. Surely someone along the way at Steelseries who play tested this controller would have spoken up about its poor design. I’ll stick with my regular Xbox Elite 2 controller and Wolverine V3 Pro which has an Xbox app btw and is $100+ less than this controller.

As someone who has both my Xbox and PC connected to my TV, this controller is perfect for me. The full mouse click button set and easy to use paddles make this my favorite pro controller I’ve owned so far. It’s a bit pricey if you’re just connecting to Xbox, but it’s truly a premium controller.
