Have always been a G502 fan, and always utilized all the buttons on it. This mouse has just as many and is also much much more lighter. Has improved my aim in FPS games, highly recommend!

Great lightweight mouse. This is the second one I have purchased (due to needing 2. no problems) programable buttons are in good locations. Great for gaming and normal use

Very lightweight. Works how it's supposed to. I am not super tech savvy, but my brother who is recommended it, and I have zero complaints.
I am definitely a casual when it comes to gaming, so I cannot speak on how long it holds a charge.

Absolutely terrible mouse and one of the worst tech purchase I have ever made.
1. Sensor stopped working after 1 year. Most mice die eventually due to mechanical issues like the switch springs failing but this mouse failed because of the electrical components. Mouse would connect and click but would not register movement.
2. Steelseries GG software is awful and is basically malware. It will constantly wake your computer up if you put it to sleep and eats up tons of resources in the background despite doing nothing. It can't even properly update firmware and occasionally wipes your profiles
3. Open architecture design is as terrible in practice as it is in concept. Yeah let's leave massive holes in the mouse so dust, sweat, and grime can drip down from your gamer hands onto sensitive electronic components. No real way to clean it either once debris gets stuck inside.
4. Wireless dongle takes up too much room. If you don't have a USB-C port on your PC then you will have to use a USB-A to USB-C dongle for the actual dongle. The wireless dongle also is way too bulky in general.
Here I am using my 10 year old Logitech G700s mouse to write this review because somehow it works better than my 1 year old Steelseries Aerox 5, though that's a low bar considering the Aerox 5 doesn't even work at all. It can't even accomplish basic functionality as a mouse. This is the first and last Steelseries product I am ever buying.

Comfy, well built, lightweight, but completely useless without the GG software despite having onboard memory. That's right, your onboard memory can't be used to store macros. Or literally anything that makes a multi-button gaming mouse useful. I'm done supporting companies that sell hardware products that only function as advertised when running spyware bloat on your computer.

Silky smooth movement and fast polling rate with a size that actually fits my longer fingers. Major downside is that most features don't work in bluetooth mode. Button mapping/macros do, but RGB and advanced features don't. I use this mostly for work and some gaming. The open back is a cool design and legitimately helps my hand from getting sweaty or greasy while using it all day.

The mouse is very smooth and feels nice. Only downside is the battery life. Have to charge it every other day, meanwhile my 8 year old wireless mouse will last a week with the same usage.

Fantastic mouse!! the RGB options are awsome. I’ve had tons of wireless mice, but all felt too small. I dont have big hands, but this mouse feels perfect when gaming. Excellent battery life and seems to recharge quickly!!

Excellent mouse for gaming or any other use. Highly recommended. Best mouse I've ever owned.
Pros:
- Responsive
- Glides easily across mouse pad
- Looks great, nice RGB effects
- Lightweight but solid
- Good battery life
- Responsive mouse buttons provide good feedback
- Super comfortable
Cons:
- The sniper button on the left side of the mouse is hard to reach with my thumb. I have to move my hand forward on the mouse to reach it. I wish they had moved it back about a half-inch. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of.
Other:
The Aerox 5 is on the larger side, so it's especially good for those with larger hands, and is great if you use a palm grip for mousing.

This mouse can connect to a pc via bluetooth, cord, or USB-C wireless adapter. If you don't have any USB-C ports available, the mouse comes with a 2 foot USB-A wire that will plug into the adapter (it's ridiculously long, lol). I ordered a converter from USB-A to C and have it jutting out of a port on my laptop. Not the safest, but much less frustrating than having to find a home for a coiled up wireless adapter. The battery life is what saves this mouse - I use it everyday and still only need to charge it once every 2 weeks.

Looks nice, build quality is nice, and battery life is decent. That's about it for the positives.
Side buttons are kinda small, but you could get used to it. However, the third button that goes across the top of the two side buttons can cause a lot of unintentional clicks.
The software is a mess. RGB isn't important, but certain behaviors can not be controlled anymore. RGB turning off when the mouse moves and then turning back on when the mouse stops moving. The RGB didn't behave like that on the first day, then second day, it decides on that behavior. The option to control that is apparently only available in the outdated versions of the software.
Lastly, input lag that randomly happens. Press and hold, and it'll continue to hold for another 0.5-1 second when you let go. You could restart the computer and hope it goes away, but it might come back the next time the computer boots.
Exchanged for a Corsair mouse with optical switches because Omron switches are still bad.

Great lightweight mouse with several useful buttons. I mainly use it for Destiny 2 and I use one of for mouse buttons for my melee and the other my inventory. Also swapping my kinetic and energy weapons

Great lightweight mouse. Feels really good to use with minimal to no delay. Only wish RGB stayed on at all times not when just in use for visual purposes but I understand why, to save battery life.
