This has to be one of the best keyboards I have ever used. It's extremely comfortable and the keys are extremely clicky yet smooth. The added plus is that the rgb controlling software is extremely easy to use and has tons of customizable features. One cool thing is you can have your own logo on display with the little screen on the top right corner (note that it will only show up in black and white pixels) 10/10 would recommend to others if it's in their budget

great quality and love the lights. Love the OLED screen with all the presets. Very easy to modify.

Nice tactile switches not as noisy as the apex 5 I have used for years. Easy setup and use of the RGB over all well worth the price as the equivalent Corsair full size board.

The feel of the keyboard is very comfortable. The hand stand at the end of the keyboard helps a lot and supports my wrist while I game. The addition of the tiny customizable screen is great!

Everything about this keyboard is great. It is a joy to use, is a pleasure to type on, and the RGB and it's options are excellent. My last mechanical keyboard was from a populer brand, but this Steelseries has them beat. I highly recommend the Apex 7.

Context, I write for profession so my review is based on clacking at the keyboard for a few hours at a time. Colors and keys are vastly customizable. The presses feel confident, though the keys seem a little shaky under light pressure. A bit clanky loud, but most of the mechanical boards are in this price range. My understanding is there's dampeners some people use but I opted for a low profile board, which seems to have less plastic in play on the keys.

The back lighting, touch on board, are so "happy". Easy to use wired board. I'm not a gamer, but this board makes me happy just using it. I switched from a "wired" setup to help eliminate horrific EMF signals constantly coming off the wired board. So here is to your better health using this item.

This is probably one of the best keyboards you can buy. It’s got great switches, individually backlit keys, and an OLED screen just to name a few features. This is my first keyboard from steelseries and it won’t be my last. The only thing I don’t like is spending $150 for a keyboard.

it is worth paying for mechanical board but beware it might not support macbook fully. you can install steelseries app on your system and configure your keyboard.. you can upload your images and use it on your screen as well at top right.. but like i said you might not be able to use all the features if connecting with macbook. like if you press printscreen it would increase your system's brightness. so think twice before buying for macbook.

I do a lot more typing than gaming (programmer), so I value a keyboard that helps me type better and faster. The keycaps have a very grippy texture to them which helps prevent slips or other mistakes when typing fast. The wrist rest has a very resilient silicone coating which should allow for easy cleaning whenever necessary. The fact that it uses a magnetic mounting system is also nice and eliminates potential wear or damage issues when compared to plastic clips. The lack of media controls is acceptable as the button and wheel in the upper right offer similar functionality. The OLED screen seems more like a gimmick than a useful feature and I have yet to find a valid use for it. Its neat but unless you look at your keyboard often, it doesn't serve much of a purpose. Overall, the keyboard has a very clean aesthetic. The font isn't overly stylized and the casing is very simplistic. It doesn't really scream over-the-top gamer like some other models. The RGB is also a nice touch. I do wish the USB passthrough was centered or on the right-hand side since either of these would be more optimal for those who decide to use it for a mouse.

Actuation is on point. The keys are like butter, but still feel satisfying for someone that has had cherry mx blues and browns and loved them. OLED is a nice touch. The placement of the usb port AND the volume/oled are perfect. The lighting is amazing and has a few presets you can use.

I don't know anything about gaming but my grandson picked this keyboard out and now I fell in love with it.The beautiful rainbow colors of the keys are constantly changing. The lighted keys make it easy to type in a dark or dim room. Everybody exclaims about how pretty it is when they first see it!

An amazing keyboard. The OLED display on-board is perhaps its coolest, unique feature. The keys feel amazing, the SteelSeries Engine is perhaps the best peripheral software out there, and provides some amazing customization abilities for this keyboard.

I've owned this keyboard for about 2 months now and it has been working flawlessly. I went with Steelseries because they made my last keyboard (6gv2) and it lasted 10 years! The red key switches are nice and light. Significantly more so than the black switches on my last board. I am glad I went with linear switches though, I tend to prefer this over a clicky switch because it is significantly quieter. Finally, the steelseries GG software is some of the easiest I have used and I have experience no bugs with it whatsoever. Much better than my experience with some competitors that will not be named. I definitely give this keyboard a strong recommendation if you have the money. It is a big enough step above the Apex 5 that it is worth the extra money.

Amazing keyboard with beautiful customization of the RGB lights. I got this for my son and his new gaming desktop and he could not be more happy. The keys are exactly what he wanted and he is able to change the colors effortlessly.

Great feel, lots of control. Besides gaming I use this for adobe software as well. Colors can be set per key, which is really nice for software. Which I could share color profiles as a file with my co-workers

This keyboard is the best I've ever used. Best responding (red) switches, macros capabilities, and plenty of preset lighting configurations. After years of using other brands (Microsoft, Razer, Logitech), this is by far the best one. Even my wife noticed right away that it was far superior to the Razer Black Widow that it replaced. Definitely worth the money for the switches alone, and would recommend this over other brands all day long! If you're thinking about dropping the money for this KB, do it and you'll be glad you did!

Great mechanical keyboard! Fully customizable and full sized. Very strong and durable. The cord is thick and tough. The aluminum is thick and strong, no flexing yet still lightweight. It does have a USB 3.0 pass thru.

I like this keyboard. I love the feel and sound of the keys. The colors are nice as is the little info screen built into it. I only wish it had a context menu key instead of the second Windows key.

My son loves the lights because he can see the keys at night and it’s really nice because the lights go across the keyboard with different colors from right to left. He loves the keys because they are raised keys
