decided to upgrade from a semi cheap 60% keyboard to this TKL apex 7 and i don’t regret it at all. the software to reprogram keys and RGB is easy to use and easily customizable. keys feel great and the light that shines through isn’t all in your face. for the price this is one of the best keyboards on the market. also has a small screen and volume wheel which is always nice.

After comparing lots of keyboards I bought this one expecting to just try it. After using it for a week I can say with confidence that this keyboard is excellent with its switches, style, curvature, and RGB's. The preset options of RGB are very satisfactory and the display in they board really lends a great touch blending utility and style. Would most certainly recommend. 5/5.

This is undeniably the best keyboard I've ever had. I adore the steelseries brand. Their products and the associated software are high quality and easy to use. I love the button controls, as well as the LED display.

This keyboard is great. I went from a taser keyboard to this and this one blew me away. The quality is spot on. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. The OLED screen is not necessary but it is a nice add on and adds to the ascetics of the keyboard. Steel Series software is easy to use.

The color is perfect - I am a huge fan of SteelSeries products, and I prefer the white colors over black. The keyboard fits in so well with my current aesthetic. It's also very clicky and more mechanical than my previous Alienware one, which I prefer the SteelSeries for! I do miss having a numberpad on the right hand side though which is my only issue with it. The OLED screen is awesome, and I love the magnetic wrist rest. Honestly, this is very much worth the price for me!

Metal back board Full RGB With 5 saving profiles and removable key caps what else can I say it’s a great buy yes the price may be out of a lot of people’s budget but the build quality really shows. Very satisfying keys and great value

Beautiful, bright and vibrant LEDs. Click is loud, but not loud enough to disrupt someone sleeping in the same small room. TKL size leaves plenty of extra room for mouse. Customizable pixel display on upper right corner is a cool feature. Very fair price for quality.

Probably my favorite keyboard I’ve owned, this is a great tkl gaming keyboard it’s not too loud either. RGB is nice, oh and the LED display lets you out GIFs on it! Also steel series has a lot of nice add ins for their software.

Very well built gaming keyboard. Sleek with beautiful RGB lights. This is Red keys so quiet, but not tactile so misclicks are a possibility in fast play. Been playing with it for about a week now and got use to it so I recommend to anyone looking for a gaming TKL board.

I bought this to replace my the full-sized Apex 7 board I have. I found myself hitting the number pad end of that keyboard while gaming too much. I used a num pad for work, and figured I'd use it for personal use, but I just didn't find myself using it enough to justify having it. I got this, and I'm very satisfied. I went from Brown (tactile) switches to these, and I love these Reds so much more. I though I'd like the tactile switches more, but these are much nicer-feeling while gaming and typing. The noise is roughly the same between the browns and the reds. Love Steelseries, and love this board.

I'm not a gamer. I am an avid typist: grad student, business owner, and corporate exec, and now homeschool mommy-teacher. IOW- I live at my desk. Due to this, I have become a keyboard enthusiast. I had a wireless logitech before this one that I used for years before it started acting up on me (a lot), then I had a Havit membrane that was great and dependable, but too big for my desk and fingers (spacing). After 2 weeks of research - I bought this one since it was the only RGB TKL at Best Buy that wasn't Logitech. Turns out- it's slim pickings no matter what store you go to (as of 2020). What's AWESOME: 1. Volume Roller - I just found out I cannot live without this 2. TKL - extra space increases workflow, focus, and productivity 3. Customizable RGB effects - don't require bloatware installation What's NOT: -Keycaps feel cheap since they are ABS instead of PBT. -MX red switches are too easy to accidentally push - as a typist, I need blues (Not carried at Best Buy) Overall: The SS APEX TKL is the best keyboard on the market imo. They're superior in experience, simplicity and elegance. The screen is a little gimicky but the features and how it allows you to change settings with the wheel or put in your name is neat. I kind of wish it had dedicated macros (preferably on the left) since I have carpal tunnel and don't like using the fn + keys. I Tried: Razer huntsmen red linear: horrible experience - decent switches but bad repetitive, possessed-like software and it slowed down my computer even after uninstalling! Logitech G Pro blue clicky: painful and annoying mx switches and there are no lights on the secondary keys (#$%^&...) which is useful when typing in the dark. Apex TKL 7 RED - (noted above) Apex TKL 7 BROWN - annoying hollow sound APEX TKL 7 BLUE - as good as it gets (perfect after I modify the keycaps) Final Outcome: I ordered the SS MX Blue Apex 7 TKL and green Razer Blackwidow TE (for the amazing fluffy soft wrist rest)

I love it, the switches feels so good and the rgb is amazing, you can customize it the way you want and the colors you, the only bad thing is that i cant configure a key to open an app, but far from, the keyboard is amazing

I don't know what it is about this form factor and gateron red switches but it feels like no other keyboard. The key spacing is perfect for typing, and the tkl format is great for keeping both hands closer when gaming. Pleasure to type, and pleasure for long gaming sessions. I upgraded from corsair k70 with cherry mx red switches and I'm not looking back! Well worth the price! Only cons I see are the mostly useless tiny display, and the volume wheel is a straight down grade from the corsair k70. I would recommend visiting best buy and typing on the floor demo model, you will not be disappointed. Very happy with the purchase.

I bought two of these gaming keyboards for my sons based on a recommendation from a gaming community. One uses his with a Mac and the other with a PC. They are both really happy with them. The keyboards feel really solid so they should last a long time. They like the programmable aspects of the keyboards. I had a hard time figuring out the programming, but my 14 year old didn’t. We got the red switches which are supposed to be quieter than the brown or blue. They are still very clicky, if that’s what you’re after, but not obnoxiously so like blue switches would be.

Quality keyboard. Bought it for my fiance and she loves it. Something i think a lot of people forget about when buying PC peripherals is the software you'll be using. Steelseries has maybe the best. Very clean

One of the best keyboards I’ve ever used. From the look, to the feel, to the sound of the keys, and the customizing options as well. I absolutely love every bit of it.

Bought it to use with my mac. Very much enjoy the feel of typing on this keyboard. It's a smaller profile and the features it has with changing colors and effects when you type are just awesome.
