Sound quality is great. Great Headset for PC, will work on XBOX but some functionality is lost like decreasing volume of chatter or muting. But I’m rating them based on quality, comfort, and design. I needed something that could work on my PC when I’m using oculus and when I’m on my console. But if you are only a Xbox user please buy Xbox Only Headsets. You will probably want the functionality.

These headphones are amazing, they are lightweight, super comfortable and they have very good sound. Love the way they feel and they don’t get your ears all sweaty. The only I didn’t like but I’m still keeping them was that the lights don’t turn on when plugged in to an Xbox controller. That is the only downfall of them but other then that they are great headphones.

These headsets are very comfortable. So comfortable at times I forget I’m wearing them. I like the retractable mic and can be heard very clearly from friends I play with. Easy to connect to my computer and the mic/headphone controller makes it easy to adjust. The only downside is finding that perfect balance between hearing your game and hearing your friends.

I've used many, many gaming headsets over the years and this one is easily the most comfortable. The padding feels like clouds touching your head. The adjustable fabric piece that goes over your head is super comfortable. The clarity both in the microphone and the speakers is great. I would definitely recommend these.

Primary bought to use on the Xbox One presently playing Battlefield most of the time. You pick up alot more of the subtle sounds that I haven't noticed before on a decent 5.1 Dolby setup. This was only my second headset purchase after returning a $50 TurtleBeach set that I didn't care for. So I can't compare these to the more expensive sets. I was easily able to install the SteelSeries Engine 3 on my Mac via USB to set the EQ to my liking. The various colors are cool but I didn't really purchase for that & that feature only works when using through the USB. Also sounds great on a MacBook using the 3.5mm headphone jack. VERY VERY comfortable & lightweight & I have a bigger then average head. No sweat even after 1-2 hours of use.

I purchased these with the intention of getting an alternate feel from my Hyper X Cloud II headset, which also gives optimal sound for anything you are doing. But these are much lighter, the fabric band always the headset to almost float. The Game and Chat mixer is an excellent feature, I play with friends in Discord and play immersive competitive games that require the directional sound that these provide. True 7.1 is achieved. I can tell where the sound is coming from and be able to react because of the sound. Steel Series has never lead me wrong. If you want a pair that is going to be light, have solid sound, have the excellent noise canceling microphone, these are the headphones for you.

Pros: -Directional sound is good -Comfortable to wear -Good sound quality overall -Integrated mic works well Cons: -Dial for USB is very sensitive I frequently find myself accidentally moving the "Voice-Game" selection dial. I wish it were less sensitive so that it wouldn't get moved so easily.

With a gaming PC and laptop, I have a few different headsets. 2 different Logitechs (G420 & G633), this Arctic 5, and sometimes the Bose QC35. Of the 3 wired headsets made for gaming, the Arctic is my favorite. The sound is excellent and they look more stylish by having just a touch of RGB. Plus, they sit easy on the ears. Definitely a plus if you're playing for more than an hour or so. The Logitech G633 also has great sound and probably a better app for configuration, but attaches on your head like those noise protectors used on a flightline. The Arctic 5 are so nice to wear I'll use them as regular headphones.

I'm a lifelong gamer and I've had A LOT of different headsets throughout the years. After reading customer reviews, I wanted to try something new and bought the Arctis 5 for PC and Xbox One gaming, and I couldn't be happier. This is an incredibly comfortable headset. I've spent an embarrassing number of hours playing Gears of War 4 since it came out and my ears haven't gotten hot or sweaty and there's no pressure headache. The material on the ear cups is extremely soft and cool. So nice! It's great having the volume control on the left ear, and the mute button is right there too. FWIW, I also think this is the first headset I've owned that I'm not embarrassed to wear in front of people. When the mic is retracted it looks like a studio headset. The mic seems to be very high quality too. I've already asked my friends to get the same headset so they sound better. For now, I turn up the voice audio on the knob in the middle of the cable. Highly recommended.

I use the headset for both gaming and taking calls from my home office. Sounds great and is very comfortable. Wearing it for hours at a time gives me absolutely no fatigue. Great buy.

Debated over several headsets as an upgrade. I went with the SteelSeries - Arctis 5 since I wanted something with comfort for long gaming sessions. This headset is great! Very comfortable headband and has a retractable microphone with mute button on the earpiece, along with adjustable volume control too. LEDs on the earpiece look good and are customizable through the included software. The 7.1 surround allows you to hear everything around you in-game and is very clear, crisp and solid sounding. I highly recommend this headset!

I have used this headset for roughly a year and have had no major complaints. The Sound quality is good and the mobile attachment cord allows for use on the PS4, which came in handy. The RGB is a cool feature and gives the headset a sleek look. The only complaint I have is with the cord. It gets tangled rather easily and can become a pain to maneuver it around your desk if you have some obstacles in the way. The inline game/chat toggle makes it a bit awkward to position the headset out of the way.

Ive always been a fan of the SteelSeries headphones even back to when they were called Icemat. The elastic band on the top is one of the best ways to support them for hours of comfortable gaming without giving you a head ache. The sound quality and driver support is superb, and being a RGB fan I couldnt say no to these. The surround sound works great and you can customize how the colors work on each side of the headphones independently of each other

Super comfortable and great mic quality. Sounds pretty good too but there’s definitely better. Finicky to adjust but they’re definitely not as good as some others in that department. 7.1 is as bad as all the others, I like the retractable mic and the ski goggle band to cushion your head. Ear cups are plushy and comfortable and never felt painful even after extended use. Finally blew out one of the speakers so I upgraded.

These are good headphones for the price! They are comfy and sound good. It is disappointing they are not 7.1 surround sound on Xbox One, but that is Microsoft's fault.

This is the first "gaming" headset I've ever owned, but I'm extremely glad I went with this one (: I've tried several different headsets and these are by FAR the most comfortable ones I've ever used. I can wear them for hours without my ears or head feeling sore, which is amazing. I love that it has a very minimal but attractive design, as most of these types of headsets are really bulky and manly looking. They sound good and the mic quality is decent. The only cons I have with it are mostly just nitpicking -- If you wear makeup, the ear pads are not the kind you can just wipe down (they sell replacements though), so you'll want to make sure you remove your makeup before using them. Also, the dial that comes attached to the wire is awesome but kind of a pain as well.. I often find myself accidentally hitting or moving it ultimately messing with my volume settings. I think it'd be great to have some sort of adhesive or clip attached to keep it in place on a desk~ Also the mic LED can't change color (not that it's really important, but I didn't think about it until I wanted to match it to my ear piece colors~)

These headsets are COMFORTABLE. The bad reviews about the looks on the headband miss the point -- that headband is comfortable. The sound is evenly spread between highs and lows without a muddle mid. If you want a thumping bass experience, these aren't your headsets. If you want an eerily clear gaming sound experience with some cool lighting effects, these are your headsets.
