Setting up the Arctis 5 was a breeze. Simply plug it into the USB port and install the SteelSeries Engine 3 Software to set up lighting effects and audio adjustments and done. The software already comes with common game type configurations, which can be adjusted with the built in equalizer for user preference. The virtual 7.1 Surround Sound works amazing. Audio ques are crystal clear and spacial awareness is amplified accurately. Volume adjustment is easy to use as it is located on the left ear cup right behind the cable connection. The mute button is placed above the volume wheel, making it simple to go radio silent in certain times. I also like how the mic is retractable so as to not always be dangling right in front of me when not in use. In terms of long-times gaming sessions this headset is very comfortable. The ear cups are made of a mesh cushion so it sits comfortably around the ear. This is a huge plus for me as I am not a fan of leather or synthetic leather ear cuffs as they tend to sweat more often during prolonged use. The headrest is an elastic band that's looped on rings attached to the headset. Adjustments are done simply by unfastening the Velcro. Overall I feel as though I made a right choice in choosing the Arctis 5 as my gaming headset of choice given the vast selection.

One of the most comfortable headsets I have owned. I have always trusted Steel Series products and they did not dissapoint. Sound quality is good. Mic isnt as good as a stand alone like a Blue mic but its still clear. Also + points for the RGB customizable lights.

This headset is awesome! The earpads are so light and breathable for people who get hot during game sessions. The band is pretty big and fits my head with no problem. The mic is very nice at input and output. The steelseries engine is where the headset really shines because you can customize everything to your liking. The directional sound is great as well. I owned the hyper x cloud 2 before these and will say I like both but will pick arctis over the cloud. Not bad at all! It also works with everything!

This is a great headset if you enjoy mids. If you want lows and good bass these may not be for you. Great for games like cod and mgsv.

For the price you can't go wrong. They are sooooo comfortable and they sound great. Have only used them on one game so hard to tell how well the 7.1 surround works (always seems like a gimmick in stereo headphones to me) but the overall quality is still great. Also one of the only headsets that universal across allplatforms .

I did some research to find a set of headphones that would work with my iMac, my phone and my Xbox after finding out that my kids Beats headphones wouldn't work on Xbox for talking (hearing worked). After reading the reviews, I picked these up to try. They are fantastic. Mike is clear, sound is great. And they are super comfortable to wear. After 12 years of flying, I've come to hate headphones. But these don't bother my ears at all and don't give the feeling of a hotspot on the top of my head. And they work great for all three platforms I use. The USB chat/game mix is very handy for connecting to the computer; wish I had these when I was playing WoW... My younger son plays multiplayer games on the Xbox and insisted on getting Turtle Beach headphones. But, after trying mine, he wants a new set of Arctis headphones for himself instead!

Hands down the best set of headphones I have used. I have owned many. Had to take the first pair back though because they were too loose. New pair has a nice tight fit that blocks background sound. Once on they sound great and the mic is the best in the market (plus it’s retractable).

First time trying these and I love them. The RGB lights are vivid and live on the earpieces and it sits comfortable on your head for a snug fit. You’ll love these for comfort. The sound is stunning. I can hear the quietest it sounds while gaming and it’s definitely a plus there!

Clear and stereophone. Noiseless... just perfect for games and anything! They are comfortable to wear, not heavy and not too tight! The price it is just right. Also they are of excellent quality. I got mine already for 2 years and I play with them every day! They are my favorite !

If you're looking for a headset that is light weight and has good sound quality along with a decent mic. Buy this headset. It's worth it for the price and it feels weightless on my head. The band on it may take some getting used to but it is very comfortable.

I could not be happier with this headset. For me, the MOST important part of a headset is the comfort. I'll often game all night after my wife goes to bed and my headset has to be something I can wear for hours on end without discomfort. So many headsets make your ears sore after extended use, but not these. I was blown away by the comfort. I honestly think I could sleep in them. But to top it off, the sound quality is amazing. Everything is crisp, clear, and without fuzz. The people I game with can hear me perfectly, and these really are top notch. Probably the most underrated aspect of any headphone set is the ease of use for the controls. It can be really frustrating when adjusting the sound is so clunky that you have to pause your game or just wait until round ends, but these are very easy to adjust and I was able to do so mid-game seamlessly. Really, really pleased with these. Would have paid much more.

Very comfortable to wear and you will like me, forget you are even wearing them when you are getting up to stretch your legs - Just remember, this is the corded model. If you want the versatility of walking away with out cords, then the "Arctis 7" is probably your best choice. This model will connect to your PC via - Usb/ChatMix balance dial or you can use the analog adapter supplied.

Bought this headset for use with my PS4 to replace my Sony PS Gold Headset. It was a bit of an adjustment going from wireless to wired, but the sound quality is great and the ability to use with my PC and discord is wonderful. The headset is comfortable enough, but the ear pads can wear on you during long game sessions. Your ears will get fatigued a bit. Overall I would recommend them though.

This is probably one of the best headsets I've had. Previously, a good pair would be at the very least $150, but not only these deliver great sound, but also good controls and extreme comfort. The cups are big enough to be loud, fit about any ear size and the cushions don't warm your ears up. Also on comfort, having it for hours you barely notice, as they are also light and the headband provides perfect weight distribution across a much wider area of your head, so no pressure points. One tricky part is the mic. Although really good and clear, if it is just say two inches away from your mouth, the engine considers your voice as part of the environment noise and reduces its volume. As long as you keep the mic near your mouth everybody will hear you perfect. Definitely recommended!

Great gaming gear that is comfortable, agile and great mic.

This headset is very comfortable. The cushion feels like pillows on your ears. The sound on these headphones was very crisp a little lacking on the bass. Also they seemed to distort a little when really turned up. loud explosions would get distorted.

As the summary says these things are so comfy. I can wear them for hours and they don't bother him. The audio quality and comfort is far better than Logitech and razor in my opinion in for a more affordable cost.
