AVOID THIS HEADSET - Worse then prior model

I had to replace my old Arctis 7 headset because it just fell apart after years of use. I was disappointed that my prior headset didn't hold up to the rigorous use I had put on it over the 5+ years of owning it, but I understood. Having been familiar with the steelseries headset and noting that this was the newest version of the headset I had grown attached to, I opted to give this headset a chance. The headset worked well for several months, nearly a year to be exact before it just started to act up. This headset doesn't stay connected as well as the prior version when walking away from the computer. It also doesn't seem to hold an impressive charge, I have to plug it in more often than I feel I should. The wire that came with the headset seemed nice at first but either it or the headset seem to act up from time to time, not recognizing the connection (the port & computer are fine). Multiple times per week the headset will not be recognized by the steelseries sonar app and I have to go in and manually change my device. Disabling all other audio devices helped, but it still won't recognize it even when its the only device! And lastly, and the most frustrating complaint I have, is that at random the headset just completely dies. It has battery charge but it just shuts off and no amount of holding the power button will turn it on. You have to remove the ear cushion and reset the device with a paper clip or something small enough to fit in the hole, holding the button for 30 seconds. Then you have to re-attach the ear cushion, which is completely annoying to do, and re-connect the headset in the steelseries engine and sometimes sonar app. This headset is an absolute nightmare to deal with. When it does actually work its not bad, but the amount of time wasted trying to fix it is just not worth it, especially with the high price tag of a premium headset. AVOID THIS HEADSET.

And as such, it only made sense to update my Artis 3 to the Arctis 7. I took a leap of faith going wireless, and have thus far, not been disappointed! I love the volume adjust between chat and gaming, so I can have Youtube or Discord going and can effectively ignore chat if I need to focus more on the game at hand. I was worried about batterly life, but I've only had to charge it once in the 3ish weeks I've had it [I'm a filthy casual who plays for a few hours a night]. Overall, a satisfying and worthwhile product. Will continue to throw my money at SteelSeries for years to come.

Turns off automatically occasionally at first. Had a software update and then didn’t auto connect to the Bluetooth receiver without having to unplug and replug in. Friends say I sound robotic often. I think if all depends on placement of mic. Hopefully it will be good as I get used to it.

Once you relent to using steelseries software the headphones work great and sound great too. Microphone is solid and the comfort is great. The dual bluetooth and dongle allows you to connect to your gaming rig and take calls from your phone at the same time which is really convenient.

I purchased the PC version of the headset specifically because its cheaper than the Xbox or Playstation version. Right out the box, they sound good I didnt use great because they simply werent and that's why i returned then. They are wireless and that was a major selling facotr for me, but it didnt exceed my expectations. I have been using audio technica m40x's for maybe 4 years and they are the wired version. Sound quality wise, they are superior. The steel series lacked bass. All in all, they are a good first headset, but there is better for around the same price. Hence my audio technica m40x's.

My first wireless headset. Watched a video on YouTube and tweaked the EQ settings in the software and it sounds great. Gives a lot of options to group different media with different sound settings. Battery lasts a long time, mic sounds good for a wireless headset. Music sounded great over Bluetooth, too. Takes a little bit of time to learn all of its tricks and features, but definitely worth the sale price I got it for. Thinking about getting the leatherette earpieces since that's what my old headset had and I was used to it. But it's comfortable as is, and not too heavy. It's a no brainier when it's on sale if you take the time to tweak the settings in their software.

Comfortable and works well. USB-C dongle isn't as convenient on an older system, but it does come with a USB-A to USB-C cable.

I think I just got a dud this one time. I had to return it because it was making a crackling sound in the left ear immediately upon turning it on. Oh and the lights were flickering on the side like they were losing power. Very strange. I’ve tried it before though a while back - so I know they are really comfy and the sound is pretty good (when you get a working headset) haha.

I tried nearly ten different headsets over the past couple years trying to find one that had spatial audio with great quality sound. I was hesitant to purchase these as I was not fully familiar with Steel Series. I finally purchased these and I can honestly say I may never go back to any other brand. These exceeded every expectation I had, especially for the price point. I had purchased headphones at higher price points that these surpassed easily. If you are even on the fence about getting a pair, go for it. These do not disappont and major kuddos to the team who designed a phenomenal headset with quality all the way through.

Switched to these after my Razer Nari Ultimate set battery could no longer hold a charge. I have been playing for several hours at a time over a 3 day span and did not need to charge these once during that time. THE GOOD: battery life is fantastic, steel series studio is fairly user friendly, lightweight and comfortable for long periods of wear, the active noise cancelling works very we'll THE BAD: the range is horrible, once you're more than 10 feet from the receiver you might as well have left them turned off or just bought a wired set, no in ear haptics, for the price you pay for a headset these days were sure are getting shafted with features. Overall 4.3 but since i can't give it a 4.3 it gets a 4.

Great adjustable fit, great sound with customizable equalizer. Bluetooth ehile playing games is awesome. Every once in a while the audio gets scratchy for a few moments but then goes back to normal "connectivity issue with the dongle" overall good headset and would recommend.

I replaced the first generation of the Steelseries Arctis Pro wired version with these and they work great. I love the wireless capabilities and the sound is as good if not better than my old headset. The battery life on these is insane also, I have had them for almost 3 months now and I have only charged them a handful of times. Would recommend for anyone looking for a somewhat budget friendly wireless headset.
