    Battery live to improve

Its battery is short, and I don't like the location of its sound control. The headband causes a headache after more than an hour of use

    Pretty solid gaming/phone headset

The charging colors are vague, when I first plugged in the cable, it was just green. Looking at the manual that means it can be anywhere from 50-100% charged. That seems very unhelpful. When connect to iPhone, it also does not show battery level, which is very annoying. The "Power" button only covers the wireless dongle connector, not the Bluetooth, so if you want to turn off the Bluetooth, you have to press the Bluetooth button. So you have to turn it on and off twice! The noise cancellation is not great, when the mic is out and not muted, it picks up way too much outside noise. This might be "normal" but I also have another headset which really eliminates surrounding sound as it has 8 mics built in to block it out. Of course, that headset is 3x the price, so it's understandable that it is not as good. I've been gaming and using a lot of different headsets trying to figure out which one works best for gaming and for also listening to music/podcasts as I play. My favorite headset for the last 2 years was able to connect to my PS4/PS5 and cell at the same time, so it was perfect. Then I got a Bluetooth only headset w/really good noise cancellation and 3D sound, perfect for gaming - unfortunately - only 1 connection, so I could only hear the game itself. This one is far better than my other dual headset though, mostly because of the power usage on Bluetooth 5.0 - my other headset's Bluetooth range is cut short if I'm connected to both dongle/Bluetooth. This is not the issue with the Nova 7 - even connected to both Bluetooth and dongle, I can walk all over the house and not have the issue my other dual headset has, which makes things so much easier. I used to have to put my phone in my pocket if I was walking out of range. Pros: Connects to 2 devices Bluetooth range works better when also wirelessly connected to dongle Retractable mic that makes the headset seem like a non-mic headset Comfortable to wear for a couple of hours Cons: Noise cancellation isn't great, but I think that's normal/average Two power buttons to turn on and off Battery power levels are not shown and very vague

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 wireless headset is, in a word, outstanding. First, for comfort level, I’ve never had on a set of over-the-ear headphones as comfortable as these. They are so light that you barely know they’re on your head. The sound quality is superb, with deep basses and great highs. Extraneous sounds are not audible. I could wear these all day. Connectivity could not be simpler. There are several ways to do it, but the easiest is what I did, which is to connect the USB-C wireless dongle to a USB-C port on the computer, turn it on, and turn the headphones on. No pairing necessary as these come paired from the factory. I was listening within 10 seconds of getting these out of the box, and having no wire connection to get tangled is a great plus. The charge-status LED has four colors, but the highest-charge color indicates only that the state of charge is between 50 and 100%. This was the state of charge out of the box, so the headphones were usable immediately with no initial charging necessary. Also included in the box is a USB-C/USB-2 charging cable allowing charging from any USB charging port or wall adapter. There is also a USB-C/USB-2 adapter cable which has a female USB-C port on one end to allow connecting the dongle to a computer that has only USB-2 ports. Finally, there is an audio cable for direct connection to an audio jack. In addition to the above, the headphones can be paired with any Bluetooth source. A button on the headphones accomplishes this. In addition to this, other controls on the headphones are a power button, a volume control, a “chatmix” control to vary the relative volume of game audio versus in-game chat from teammates, a slide-out microphone (a great feature allowing it to be completely stowed away when not in use), and a microphone mute button. Overall, if you need or want a pair of over-the-ear, noise-eliminating, great-sounding headphones, you can’t do better than the Arctis Nova 7. Highly recommended.

    Nice headset / Frustrating buttons

I like this headset well enough, but I wish the power button and Bluetooth button were a little less finicky. The headset is well constructed and fits quite snuggly on my head. Even with the strap adjustments, it's perhaps a bit tight for my taste. I love the fact that the microphone can be retracted into the ear cup. Not having it dangle in from of my face when I'm not using it is nice. l also like that there is a physical mute button for the microphone as I'm notorious for forgetting to mute my mic. I'm told that the mic was nice and clear when I used this for chatting in game. Once I got into Bluetooth mode, pairing it with my Switch Lite was a breeze. I also used it with the dongle on my gaming PC. My only real complaints about this headset are the power and Bluetooth buttons. I'm not keen on the current "trend" in tech to have one button perform multiple operations. The whole notion of "press once for this, double tap for that, long press + short press + chew gum at the same time for this other thing" doesn't really appeal to me. I get that they're trying to avoid loading up their device with tons of buttons, but it causes some frustrating headaches. I spent a solid five minutes, and had to consult the instructions, just to turn this headset off. Pressing the power button, I kept getting a quickly flashing green LED, a slow flashing LED, or a solid green LED. Trying to switch in and out of Bluetooth was equally frustrating with an infuriating blue LED right above the power button. I struggled to get it to switch out of Bluetooth mode, and I inadvertently kicked it back into pairing mode multiple times before getting it to work. Aside from this, this headset is great. The sound quality is awesome, and I absolutely love the mic on this.

Best of both worlds! Game and phone use together!

Let’s start with COMFORT! These headphones are GREAT for extended use! The call it a “ComfortMAX” system with an adjustable fit, and it just works. It doesn’t matter how good headphones reproduce sound or what features are included if you don’t want to wear them…and I WANT to wear these. The headphones have a stated 38-hour battery life. I generally don’t run any product until the battery is depleted, but I had over a 35% charge after about 25 hours so that seems realistic. And there’s a quick charge feature that gives you about a 20% charge in 15 minutes with USB-C fast charging. The headphone has a USB-C dongle that will work with PC’s, Mac’s, PS4/PS5, Switch and Oculus Quest 2. And it connects to a phone via Bluetooth so you can game and talk/listen at the same time. The acoustics are phenomenal and includes spatial audio to allow you to identify the direction of sounds, a “pro-grade Parametric EQ” and their Sonar Audio Software Suite that allow you to identify sounds in a game base on presets. The retractable microphone is noise cancelling and includes baked in software to filter noise from team chats either next to you or online. The controls on the unit include volume, a control to increase/decrease the volume of your team members while keeping the game volume the same, mute, and the ability to answer phone calls. Overall this is the best sounding, most comfortable and certainly the most versatile headset I’ve ever used.

To start with, out of the box you only get a disposable bag that these come in. It would have been nice if these at least came in a protective cloth pouch with a drawstring, or even better a zippered case. So if you want to take these on the go with you it might be wise to buy a carrying case. The headset is a mix of plastic and metal, with a little weight to them. The overall build quality is decent enough, but not premium. Earcups appear to just be foam, not memory foam. They can get a little hot after extended use. Comfort is pretty decent and these don't have excessive clamping force. Perforamce wise these are good, but not great. I think the overall volume could be a little louder. If you like your games or audio loud, these aren't the loudest. You can download the Steelseries software and do quite a bit of tweaking to the sound, however. The controls are fairly well laid out, but I'm not the biggest fan of the push-button to mute. Microphone is just okay and it seems to pick up too much ambient noise. So overall these are worth a look, but there is room for improvement. I think these would hold up well to a teenager who tends to abuse their equipment

Since I work 5 days a week from home and constantly on the phone I needed comfortable over ear headphones with an excellent noise isolating microphone. Even though these are marketed as “gaming” they are superb for use with Microsoft Teams and laptop use. I hope this review helps others that may be in the same position. Also, they can be connected to your cell phone simultaneously and you can easily multitask.

I give this headset 5 stars. There's not much more I could ask of a quality headset. These are comfortable to wear even for hours. They stay in place without being too tight, They have some weight to them without being too heavy. The ear cups are super comfy and keep outside noise down. The sound is great with good bass. Controls are easy to reach and use. Connection was quick and effortless. I did need to use a USB to USB-C adapter since the laptop I use doesn't have a USB-C port, but it caused no problem at all. The mic is clear, nobody has had any trouble hearing or understanding. The ability to be in game and talk to friends on Discord or take a phone call is at the same time is awesome. No more missing calls because I didn't hear it ring or having to pause while I take a call. Controls for the each are on opposite cups making it easy to switch and forth. The ability to pause music and restart it when ready is also there. This headset does it all and does it very well. I haven't had to charge it back up again since the initial setup so I can say it holds a charge a very long time also.

Pretty good bit too pricey for what it is

I bought it and found it somewhat comfortable as lingas you dont wear glasses. With glasses, it pulls the glasses into the bridge of the nose and gets uncomfortable. My primary issue with it and why I returned it is the sound quality. Even at max, the volume comes up pretty low workable, but not for audiiphiles. Most importantly, though, it has absolutely no noise canceling at all. Wgen you put them on you hear EVERYTHING going on outside the headset and the cup makes it sound more aplified which interferes more with the quality of the sound of the speaker. Considering there's plenty of competion that is significantly less expensive and offers active noice canceling I returned it

The Arctis Nova 7 wireless is overall a solid headset. They are easily one of the most comfortable headsets I have ever worn. One main issue I had with the Arctis Nova 7 Wireless was setting them up. You pretty much need the steel series software to use them, and it took a while to figure out why they were not connecting. There is a lot of customization you can do with the audio and the microphone which is a nice plus. The default microphone setting is not the best, at least for my voice. But with some fine tuning you can find a setting that fits your voice well. The Arctis Nova 7 is fairly portable and can be used as bluetooth and 2.4GHz connection. The battery life is solid for a wireless headset. I do think the audio quality is quite good. There is nothing that is necessarily bad about this headset, everything is about average. The audio quality and how comfortable the headset is do rise above the rest though. Overall I would say it is worth your money if you are looking for a wireless headset.

A little let down with the Nova 7

I've heard of SteelSeries before, and from what I've read, they make some of the best gaming headphones and accessories on the market. Unfortunately, with the Arctis Nova 7, I don't really understand what all the buzz is about. Out of the box, these headphones have a nice weight to them. They feel durable and premium. I like that it charges via USB C and even the wireless adapter features it. Set up went pretty quick. You need to download the SteelSeries GG Software to get the most out of your headset. Once the firmware was up to date, they were tested in different games. To start off, sound quality on these is fine. I normally use Corsair Void Pros, which I feel give more of a "vibrant" sound then these. The Nova 7 seems a little bit too quiet and slightly muffled. I tried it with Dolby Atmos for Headphones using Windows Spatial Audio, and that made things a bit better. As for the microphone, I was having issues on my Discord calls where it would pick up wind blowing from a fan across the room. Also the Mic Feedback is not the best, it was a bit tinny. The button controls on the side were a bit hard to feel when wearing them. Speaking of wearing, comfort is actually not that bad. I have a bit of a larger head, so I had to open the earcups to the largest size. Padding is quite comfortable as well. I was expecting something amazing with the Arctis Nova 7 Headset, but the sound and mic quality just weren't there. SteelSeries got things right with using USB C and making the headset feel solid, but they did not put enough attention to where things matter.

Best mid level headset for PS5

Best mid range headset for playstation!! Sound is very well balanced with highs, mids and lows all working great with the 3D audio tempest. Mic quality is lacking but still clear enough for competitive game play with squads. For under 200 bucks it packs all the best you can ask for. Bluetooth, multiple ways to connect audio all day comfort. Only draw back earcups are on the smaller side and you can't use standard wicked cushion replacement pads to improve the sound isolation but overall a solid 8.5 out of 10 headset

It has a good design, good sound quality, and is lightweight, but the lightweight is a double-edged sword as it doesn't stay on your head too well. It's great for completely sedentary gaming sessions, but that defeats the purpose of wireless in my opinion. The built-in mic is just okay as well.

I own the nova pro wired for my PC. However wanted a wireless headset for my laptop, quest, and playstation. This headset blows my mind the blue tooth and 2.4 connections work incredibly well and at the same time, the audio quality is outstanding and the comfort is amazing as well! 5 out of 5 for me, for the money no wireless headset even remotely close to this price point can compete. Not even close!

Decent headset! During the initial setup my headset bugged- getting stuck in bluetooth mode. The bluetooth button would pulse even when headset was turned off. After research, I discovered plugging in the aux cord would fix this as it resets the mode switching. Optimistic about this headset- even though it bugged during set-up. I wish it was more noise cancellating. Enjoying the build quality. Not as much bass and mids as I’d like for cascual listening.
