The mouse pad size was decent for the pricing, and the speed of the pad for fps shooters is decent.

I was hoping the texture would be a bit rougher (a la Razer Strider) but it feels fine. Looks good and does provide a bit of control over soft pads.

Gonna get this out of the way, I love this mouse mat. I've been using a large mouse mat for years to dampen keyboard sounds on my mech keeb and of course for all of my mousing needs. It also neatens up the desk space a bit, plus it just looks good. I was happy to give this steelseries mouse mat a go and I couldn't be happier with it. The mouse mat comes in three varieties based on surface texture speed, balance, and control. I opted for control as the feet on my mouse are very slick and I find it somewhat difficult for precision movement sin gaming. Pairing that with a mat with a coarser surface seems to be the perfect pairing of mouse and mat. Of course this is a very personal preference that's entirely subjective to your specific needs. For me, these two pair really well. What isn't subjective is the quality of the mat. Feels premium the moment you take it out of the package. It lies perfectly flat without issue, even after being wound around a cardboard cylinder for packaging. It's got a good weight and feels pretty durable. The stitching is nice, no loose threads or frayed edges out of the box which I'd definitely experienced with other products. It's got some sort of rubberized backing that holds the mat firmly in place without making the mat feel overly heavy. It's just nice. Mousing on this is perfect. Movement is smooth, no cursor jumping or skipping which I've had on other mats. It's precise. The micro texture on this feels really good and provides just enough drag with my mouse to give me the precision that I need. I do run my mouse at a relatively high DPI and this pairs perfectly with both the mouse feet and my preferred settings. It's good. My only concern, and this is the only thing that you can't really evaluate in a few days, is how well this will hold up. I've had other mats start to fray around the edges, get dust and fine particles trapped in the weave of the fabric which made the mouse sensor very unhappy, and even one where the layers of the mat separated. Time will tell of course, but compared to mats I've used in the past this one feels more premium. Out of the box though I have no complaints. It's perfect, I even like the little bits of flair on the mat (the logo on the bottom right corner and the little qck control tab on the top right). Definitely recommended if you're looking for an xl mouse mat with a coarser, grippier surface.

I had a QCK Heavy and I thought that pad was slow. This one is way slower, not sure why anyone would need this type of control.

Pretty decent pad, but very large. Was bigger than what I needed or wanted, but figured I'd try it since it gets good reviews.

Very happy with my DESK PAD!

After using a felt desk pad for about a year and half I began feeling the pills forming under my wrists which began causing irratation. I 'shaved' them down a few times. but once it starts it was prone to happening more often. I haven't used a traditional mouse pad in several years now with The Steelseries QcK Control being my first mouse mat. Luckily this mat was was the same as my felt pad coming in at approximately 900mm x 400mm (35.4in x 15.7 in), offering ample room for exaggerated mouse movements. The would be beneficial for low-sensitivity gamers or while working on large documents or creative projects. Running out of pad space isn't much of a concern. I usually run 2 mice for my desktop and work laptop and have plenty of space for either without bumping into the other. The "Control" aspect of the QcK's namesake appears to be evident. The micro textured woven surface offers excellent friction, providing a noticeable degree of resistance to your mouse movements. Offering a controlled glide with precise tracking and stopping power, which is paramount for accuracy in games where you could be lining up a headshot in a first-person shooter or making minute adjustments in a graphic design software or navigating cells in a spreadsheet. The QcK Control delivers consistent and reliable tracking for both optical and laser sensors. The QcK Control prioritizes control over comfort. However, during extended use I use a THIN logitech wrist pad that grips nicely to the smooth micro texture control surface. The Qck Control pad itself feels pleasant under the wrist and hand. I have noticed no irritation even during extended gaming sessions or long workdays. The non-slip rubber base keeps the pad firmly planted on my desk, preventing unwanted shifting and maintaining a stable surface. This stability contributes significantly to a comfortable and distraction-free experience. SteelSeries QcK Control looks to be relatively easy to clean. While not entirely stain-proof, most spills can be quickly blotted away with a damp cloth. I like to use a damp microfiber cloth. Extended sessions could leave some dead skin marks under the wrists, which is why I like to use my wrist rest. My one con for this QcK Control would be the placement of the Steelseries logo on the bottom right. As a righty, and the multiple mice I usually run I can feel it on my wrist. It was remedied by turning the desk pad 180deg so that the logo is to my top left and out of the way. Not the most bothersome. But was the 1 thing I could think that I could ding it for. The SteelSeries QcK Control XL DESK pad strikes an excellent balance between its generous size, accuracy, control, to a degree comfort and ease of maintenance. If your work space allows for it, the large surface area will benefit most users and play styles. The controlled cloth surface delivers the precision needed for demanding tasks. The focus on control makes it particularly well-suited for gamers who value precision, but its comfortable surface and generous size also make it a great choice for everyday use and professional applications.

The Mouse Pad I Didn't Know I Needed

I did not know that I was missing out on anything with my traditional mouse pad. Not only am I an avid gamer, I do 100% of my job from a computer. I had always just been using a traditional size and shaped mouse pad., never thinking twice about it. I received the steelseries qck XL performance mouse pad, and I see what I was missing. First off, the neoprene on the bottom does an exceptional job keeping the mouse situated on whatever surface it is on. This is great for fast mouse movements, where you might otherwise pull up the edge of the mouse pad. Not only that, but the mouse moves super smoothly and gently over this mouse pad. I have tried it with multiple mice, including a Microsoft Arc mouse, my Logitech gaming mouse, a standard wired mouse, and an ergonomic mouse. They all move very smoothly on the surface, and I have no complaints. The last thing I will say. If you have been using standard sized mouse pads, but you have a bigger surface on which to use your computer or game, get an extra large mouse pad like this. You will never regret it. It's like the difference between using a single monitor and switching to multiple monitors.

    Decent Mousepad

This is a decent mousepad. To be honest, with its size, it's more of a desk pad. I have a decent size L-shaped desk and it pretty much covers one side completely. I love it. Unboxing this was pretty simple. I opened the box and it was rolled up inside. I just had to pull it out and unroll it. I did have some trouble putting it on my desk since I had to move around my monitors and other stuff, but eventually I was able to get it on my desk. Everything fits perfect. I have my peripherals (mouse, keyboard, headphones, etc.), water bottle, phone, Galaxy Buds, and other stuff on it. It's also good for eating food since any stains that get on it from that can easily be rubbed out with water and a finger. For gaming, the surface is smooth and easy to play on. It is a lot better than my old small Razer mousepad (although that was a mouse-only mousepad) in terms of its size and feel. It's also got a decent thickness so it doesn't hurt to rest my wrist on it. Overall, I'd suggest this for anyone who plays PC games on a desk.

SteelSeries’ new QCK Gaming Mouse Pad Is a must in the field of competitive gaming. I received The XL sized “Control” It measures roughly 35x15 inches. it covers most of my gaming desk and that’s a good thing, not only can I place my gaming mouses on top of it, but I can place my keyboard on top no problems, there’s plenty of real estate to move my gaming mouse around. The bottom of it is made of a rubbery nonslip base for extra grip, the surface is micro textured for smooth controlled movements. If you’re looking for something other than control, SteelSeries also makes a Speed and also a Balance mouse pad as well. With the Balance Mouse Pad you get a balance of speed and control. if you’re into competitive gaming, or just looking for a gaming pad look no further than the QCK Performance Series Mouse Pads from SteelSeries. Priced just right and they look good on any gaming desk. It’s also works well for pretty much anybody that owns a computer. You don’t have to be a gamer to take advantage. Moving your mouse around just feels better on this.

HUGE Mouse Pad with Great Control

I wasn’t really sure what to expect when this mouse pad arrived as I usually go for a generic version. It’s really massive at 16 inches by 3 feet! I never have to worry about running out of space or the mouse slipping off the edge when gaming intensely especially while playing my preferred FPS games. The texture gives just the right amount of resistance, which I prefer over speed pads that feel too slippery and hard to control. After a few days of gaming, I can already feel how much more precise my aim is during games. I can’t really speak to long-term durability yet, but if one area wears down, I’ll just rotate it and keep going. It also stays firm and locked in place during intense gaming sessions and doesn’t slide around at all like I have experienced with the generic mouse pads I've used. Overall, the Control version of the SteelSeries QcK Performance pad really delivers for me. It practically covers my whole desk, offers excellent grip, and feels built to last. If you’re looking for accuracy and stopping power, this pad gets it done.

An inky black big massive Mouse XL pad!

I have probably had about a million mouse pads in my life, everything from small bare bones type and all the way up to one huge huge huge goliath of a pad and that is the Steelseries Qck (for quick) XL gaming pad. This thing is massive, far bigger than any other desk pad even, let alone mouse pad. Plan your space accordingly. This was a bit of banger to install but once I got everything on my desk reorganized it was time to test it out. Admittedly very skeptical as the surface feels more clingy than my mirror glass I am using prior to this. However, I'm very happy to say the mouse still glides, and the accurate grab gives a real nice feeling of control that is not there on a glass type surface, especially helpful in sniping in Call of Duty (of which I am attempting to become a professional COD player nonetheless). This thing is huge, and yes I've already spilled a full glass of tea on it and it was no worse for the wear at all, somehow it looks and feels exactly the same as before. I highly recommend this pad, it's my new thing now. Need to get some more designs as opposed to just deep, inky black Steelseries!

Hard to say what's the difference between a "gaming" mousepad and a regular one. With most mice being laser and not the age old ball mouse, a mousepad should just be a mousepad right? Well, yes and no. Lot of marketing around "gaming" accessories and especially with mousepads I see. For a good mousepad, what it really boils down to is the density of the mousepad foam and the texture of the surface that really make the difference. Most mousepads are your typical cheap foam ones that work. For gamers though, every little extra bit helps I say. For these mousepads, the main difference between the Speed, Control, Balance ones are the surface of the pad that allows you the different preferences here. The slicker surface allows for faster speed and the control one has a bit more textured surface area. I chose the balanced one as I do gaming and work on my PC. Having either the speed or control one might've been better for gaming purposes but I was looking for an all-around fabric for my needs. I feel that it works pretty well for gaming and perusing spreadsheets equally.

This gaming mouse pad is amazing! The surface is super smooth, making every movement feel precise and responsive. It’s the perfect size — big enough for wide mouse swipes but not too bulky on the desk. The non-slip rubber base keeps it firmly in place, even during intense gaming sessions. Plus, the stitched edges make it durable and long-lasting. Whether you’re gaming or working, this mouse pad gives you that premium feel every time.
