Nice Surface for your Gaming Mouse

The Steelseries QCK speed mouse pad surface is smooth with little resistance so your mouse moves fast especially if you have a weighted gaming mouse. I was using a hard surface mouse pad and this QCK is nearly as fast. On a plus side for what I lose in speed I gain in control. The difference is the neoprene pad does give ever so slightly when pressed and I believe this gives me the feeling of being in better control than the hard surface pad. It’s not overly thick and it is quite dense which makes it durable however if you have your monitor stand or use a heavy keyboard they will leave indents on the mouse pad. The back of the mouse pad is grippy so the mouse pad won’t move when gaming. Overall this is much nicer than the generic neoprene mouse pads out there and it definitely is a step up when it comes to quality construction. Like most neoprene surfaces, it picks up dust and after a week end of gaming it is showing some lighter areas where the fore arms rested on the surface. If you are into RGB there are no options with this style mouse pad. Before picking this up make sure you have the space for it because its XL as in nearly 3 ft long and 16 in deep.

Ive used Steel Series desk pads for the past 10 years and they do not disappoint.
Upgraded from a Steel Series desk pad from about 5 years ago and they are similar, but different.
This current one is the balanced version, however, has much less padding than my previous and the material is slightly different.
Even though it is classifed as balanced material, my mouse still feels pretty fast on the pad.
It is also slightly bigger than the previous version.
Its not an issue and just takes some getting to.

As a quick side note. I'm not a competitive gamer or anything. I do game. A lot. And I spend a lot of time using my computer. So I have grown quite fond of the large desk mats as opposed to just a mouse pad. This one does a simple job and does it well.
For starters, this mat is big. I've had a few other desk mats in the past but this is by far the largest in both directions. It sort of fits my desk area perfectly. I'm also not one for flashy stuff. My RGB things are few and far between and pretty subtle when they exist. So just a nice flat black mat is perfect for me. I could probably do without the steel series logo in the corner but it's small and doesn't distract too much attention.
The feel of the mat under my mouse is nice. Very smooth. I got the balanced version of this because speed and control have never been things I've struggled with and I honestly am not sure how either of them feel much different. This version feels great for me.
Most importantly are the edges. There's a stiched border around the whole mat but it's very subdued and soft. I've had mats that have had really hard stitched edges as well as one with RGB around the edges and they both ended up digging into my wrists over time. These edges just don't get noticed which is exactly what I want.
Bottom line. It's a desk mat. I feel like it's a staple for any decent computer setup and it does it's job very well. If it's in your budget, give it a look. If you're able to try all the variants before hand, see which one you think feels the best. For me, this balance version feels great.

Starting off, I've had tons of mousepads, dating back at least 15 years at this point. It's not like I don't know what I want, but rather have become more picky over time.
The Steelseries QcK performance line up is fairly new. I've used the legacy Heavy and QCK+ but wanted something closer to my older favorite pad from a competitor, which was was named the "Taito control" Happy to report that this is the closest thing I've found to replace it!
The control moniker shouldn't be emphasized. This is still a fast pad (subjectively), but has significantly better stopping power than the speed version of the same performance lineup. This personally translates to letting me get away with a higher in game sensitivity while retaining good wrist control.
I've used the speed variation, but it just doesn't feel as nice as this control model. and is comparable to the older Taito Control released by a competitor brand.
PROS:
-Solid 3.5mm thickness
-Good material, quick by controlled
-Real no slip base.. works well on finished/sealed wood.
CONS:
-Pricey
-Gets dirty easily being black (Speed version is worse in this regard).
OVERALL:
I really like it. Give me exactly what I need and that's all I can really ask for. I would recommend the Control model for someone looking for a unique option in SteelSeries line up.
5/5 from me.

For the price, it’s a great mouse pad. It’s large, covering a wonderful majority of my desk at home. The material used seems high quality, and I get good control and speed when frantically moving my mouse around during intense game play. The bottom of the mat, has a rubbery material that helps keep the pad in place when you are thrashing your mouse around. For the price, it’s a great pad, well worth it. Steel series did good here. I think if you’re thinking this is like a glass mouse pad, or something higher end, it isn’t, but for the average joe and half way serious gamer this is actually might be too much. I see this lasting a long time, assuming you take care of it. I used a hyperX mat, and have bought a few of those because I liked the texture, but they seem not to carry/make it anymore and so I saw this for the price and decided to try it. I’m really happy with it, and if they keep this in stock, I’ll rebuy it again when this one, one day, wears down. Great value. Would recommend.

Premium gaming mousepad. Great size it doesnt cover my deak entirely but it goes under my keyboard and still gives me plenty of room for my mouse. The stitched edge is very nice and its soft so it doesn't irritate my arm like my old one did.
Amazing mousepad when paired with the right skates

The new QcK Performance series mousepads from Steelseries are definitely a step in the right direction in terms of the type of quality you get. Being easily available at Best Buy is also a huge plus - I tested the | Speed variant.
Glide feel: You should immediately notice how there’s a lot less friction when moving your mouse around giving it that “speed” feel. I did feel a good bit of the texture as well BUT this will HEAVILY depend on what skates you have on your mouse. I have a lot of different gaming mice + skate combos so I figured I’d share what the experience is like.
With most stock PTFE skates you pick up a lot of the pads texture which I personally don’t like as it gives it that rough feel. Swapping into anything higher quality like (Corepads, Tiger Ice, Talongames etc) made a huge difference as it smoothed everything out but still kept the same glide in terms of speed. What I recommend pairing this pad with the most is actually glass skates! I tried generic glass skates all the way to superglides and the experience was top tier! You could also go with dots which definitely have a more effortless feel on this particular pad.
In terms of the base of the pad it sticks very well onto your desk! That’s honestly most important and I found Steelseries pads of old and new to actually deliver in this aspect every time. I also like how the pad is stitched around the edges and the way it tapers off.
In-game I immediately felt comfortable using this pad (my eDPI is 904) and I mainly play FPS games like CS2. My skill ceiling was higher since the mouse provided more speed hence being able to flick/clear angles faster. In a nutshell this mousepad will magnify how you’re playing at the moment whether it’s good or bad.
Overall I can highly recommend the QcK Performance! Having an XL option is also really nice if you want a cleaner desk setup that fits your keyboard and other accessories. I would just be very aware of what type of skates you use or are planning to use with this pad.

If you are a gamer and need a lot of space, this is the mouse pad for you. For me I have used my mouse on a smaller pad and I would pause, lift the mouse to center it on the pad and then resume my game. no more. You need to measure your desk width beofre you buy this. When I say it is super massive, I am not kidding. This takes about 70% of my desk. I have a neoprene backing on mine, so there is no slipping of the mousepad. I have this right on the edge of my desk. There is a small rise to the keyboard, but I didnt notice it changing my typing.
This has taken a bit to get accustomed to. Since I can just move the mouse and not pick it up. I have a reddragon opticl mouse and I have had no issues with the tracking. I seem to just flow. There is no wrist rest, and that for sure i hav to get accustomed to. I may find a way to engineer a way to have a wristrest and still use this pad. My next big thing is cleaning. The website says to put this in a sink with soap and water.
The top of the mousepad is smooth, but my keyboard is non slip. So when I type it does not shift either

This mousepad offers a smooth, responsive surface ideal for precise cursor control. Its non-slip rubber base keeps it firmly in place during use. The stitching feels durable, and the material is comfortable for extended sessions. A great balance of function and comfort. Perfect for work, gaming, or everyday computer use.

And now I can’t go back! This covers quite a bit of the surface of my desk, and it does genuinely seem to control my premium branded gaming mouse better than the generic discount store mousepad. Who woulda thought? It’s got a nice texture and is quite thick. It’s been used for several hours of Baldurs Gate III with no issues whatsoever. Because of its size, I’m not constantly picking up and repositioning my mouse. I’ve yet to “run out of pad”. Composition seems to be a very durable material, so it doesn’t look like it will come undone quickly like the afore-mentioned discount mouse pad. Because of its size, my keyboard is also on the mousepad and it provides enough traction that the keyboard doesn’t slip either. Overall I’m rather impressed by this product. I can definitely see how this could improve performance in competitive gaming. Pretty sure this would be a benefit for productivity as well. A true top quality product typical of Steel Series products. Comes packaged on a nice cardboard roll so it’s not going to have a kink in it. Definitely grab it!

I tend to play a lot of single player games, so for me, ultra-fast response time is important, but so is being able to take a slower, more measured approach in several of the games I play. The balance mouse pad (or desk pad given its size is far bigger than for just a mouse), strikes this balance between ultra low friction mousepads and higher resistance mouse pads you might see in an office. I played several of my favorite games using the SteelSeries Qck mouse pad and found it worked flawlessly. From twitchy FPS like COD to slower third-person games like The Last of Us, the mousepad felt very natural.
The mouse pad itself is fairly thin at about 3.5mm, and has flat stitched edges which give the mouse pad a seamless look. The surface material of the pad itself feels great, I don't quite know how to describe it, but it has friction, without feeling restrictive. The mousepad can be bought in a Speed, Balance, or Control mode and, with my using the Balance one, I found it felt exactly that way, balanced. You feel resistance and friction where needed, but never held back or heavy. As someone who works from home, and games a lot on their PC, to me this desk pad hits the middle ground of all of my needs. A jack-of-all-trades that never fails in any area. Highly recommended.

Overall, this is a well-made mouse pad that fits my desk and I really enjoy the smoothness, but not overly smooth texture of the mouse pad
The unboxing was very straightforward. The mouse pad itself is rolled up inside and it won’t take long once it’s laid down with your peripherals on top for it to smooth out
Performance wise, I couldn’t be happier my mouse tracks perfectly well and I don’t get caught on the material as is with some other mouse pads. I’ve also had other ones that are too slippery where every little movement feels like I overshoot my target.
As far as maintenance, it’s been fairly easy to clean with the dust in crumbs. If I were to eat above the mouse pad, they are very easy to remove without getting caught or without having to use something as aggressive as a vacuum, which is nice. I would highly recommend this mouse pad for anybody whether they’re competitive gamers or casual gamers as it fits the bill for most people. Hats off to steal serious for making an all around great mouse pad.

Smooth surface and large size give plenty of room for fast movements. Rubber base keeps it in place during long sessions. Easy to clean and stays flat. Good choice for any gaming setup.

This mat is definitely XL. Much larger than I expected. I had another brand mat that was a gift, and this one was a step up for sure. I'd buy it again, but for my needs I'd probably stick with one size under this one. It is BIG.

Works as expected. Pretty large mat. Didn’t look closely at the dimensions before ordering but still works alright for my desk. I like that the bottom has some grip to help prevent it from moving. Overall, would purchase again.

Very large, excellent control pad. Works with every mouse I've tried and has a nice semi-rough texture that feels good on the hands and lets you have feedback on how far you've moved the mouse. Very high quality stitching as well.

Great mouse pad—simple, sturdy, and very comfortable to use. The surface feels smooth and makes the mouse glide accurately, which is perfect for both work and everyday browsing. It stays in place on my desk and the quality is better than I expected for the price. Clean look, no weird smells, and it’s easy to wipe down. Highly recommend!
