Low Quality Mic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I highly recommend you watch a video review of this headset before you buy it, the mic quality is, in my opinion, atrocious for a headset with a price tag this high. This was meant to be an upgrade from my two year old headset but I (and the people I talk to) found it to be quite the downgrade. The sound quality isn't bad, coming from a similarly priced headset it sounded about the same in terms of quality. However, my old headset was noise cancelling, which I never realized was such a big deal until I got this headset. I had no idea my computer was so loud while gaming until I tried out this headset for the first time. My friend described my voice quality with this headset as being on par with an early 2000s flip phone and begged me to go back to my old headset. Again, please listen to a video review of this headset before you buy it. You'll hear right away how bad the mic is. Two of my friends have SteelSeries Siberia headsets, both of them the lower end versions of this one, and they sound better than this one. Go ahead, listen to the review for the Siberia 150. It's bizarre that the quality went backwards for a higher end product.
