The original TV mini-series adaptation of Stephen King's horror classic IT still brings the chills, especially the excellent first part. Presented in MPEG-4 AVC with a DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack as well as cast and crew audio commentary. A must own for Stephen king fans!

An Interesting Watch, Especially for King Fans

The first attempt at adapting Stephen Kings iconic novel for the screen. Very interesting watch. Great atmosphere and a fantastic performance as Pennywise the Clown by Tim Curry. The ensemble cast is decent, but not all of them are the best actors, especially the actor who portrays the adult version of Bill is very wooden. Overall, a very interesting watch about the manifestation of a persons fears, and the design of the steelbook aet itself is beautiful, with the matte finish cover fearuring Pennywise.

Probably one of the best Horror films ever made! Worth watching again and again. With an all star cast of John Ritter, Jonathan Brandis, Annette O' Tool, Richard Thomas, the first victim had a toy cash register on the grass, I also had one when I was her age.

Saw this great movie some time ago and still remembered IT. Cool thriller that keeps you in your seat, waiting for the story to unfold. See it once and you will want to see IT again!

The movie that has people to this day scared of clowns. The Steven king movie....It. Made in the early 90's I'm glad to have it on blu-ray. Purchased this one to add to the collection & show my kids where the movie originated from. Great picture & sound for being filmed in the 90's this restored version will not disappoint. This movie probably looks & sounds better then movies out now. Although you only get the case & a blu-ray I'll take it. I do wish it came with a digital copy.

    They ALL Float Down Here!

Stephen King's It is one of the better adaptations of a King novel. The film is a two-part miniseries that aired in 1990. The film tells the tale of seven brave kids called the Losers who fight back against a menace simply known as IT that is terrorizing their town of Derry. Thirty years later, the evil resurfaces and the Losers must return, now adults, to do battle with IT once more. I really liked this film. The first half is fantastic, but the second half is a little lacking. Tim Curry plays Pennywise, IT's favorite form, and is by far the best performance of the lot. Everyone else gives mediocre performances. The ending of the film is horrible. The special effects in the ending are awful, but it's a made-for-TV movie, so you can't really complain. This specific disc holds a good movie, but it is a bad presentation. The film comes in a cardboard snap case and there is a flipper disc inside. The flipper disc has part one on one side and part two on the other. However, the disc doesn't say which side is which. That is, understandably, annoying. Overall, it's worth getting just to see one of the creepiest clown performances ever.

A very well-produced film, especially considering it's a low-budget TV movie from almost 30 years ago. Great atmosphere and effects, and – most importantly – a well-paced and well executed plot. This is everything the 2017 movie wishes it was. Considering the source, the Blu-ray turned out very well with a surprisingly high-quality, organically grainy release. It's nice to finally have this in its original aspect ratio and is a substantial quality bump over the DVD (or even VHS, both of which I once had). the DTS-HD MA 2.0 track also does a decent job representing the content, again, taking into account the source material.

Wanted to get both a digital and Blu-ray copy, which is why I wanted to purchase the SteelBook. I really enjoyed watching this movie. I think the cast is great in this film especially John Ritter, Richard Thomas, Tim Reid, and Tim Curry. However, I am never able to watch the movie in one sitting, which is another reason I purchased the move. Now that they have remade the movie, I wanted to purchase just in case it does not show up on TV as frequently as before.

Finally a Blu-ray release of the seminal mini-series. Picture quality is excellent and we finally have it all together without being on a flipper disc. Stereo track is solid for a tv release. The film itself is still frightening all the way up until...ok, no spoilers, but if you've seen it you know what I'm talking about. A worthy horror staple and great companion intro to the new duo of films.

This is the 1990s mini series. Such a wonderful film, and a decent adaptation. I bought it after purchasing the new filmon Blu Ray. My only criticism of this product is that the cover is misleading. The black cover with Pennywise (Tim Curry) is actually a cardboard sleeve. The actual Blu Ray cover is the same white one you see on the DVDs. It was kind of misleading. But oh well, didn't spoil the film. Great deal!

    A Cult Classic

There isn't much to say about this film. It's a classic at it's core. Newer generation kids will most likely pick the new one over the original but, this one is indeed timeless. It is not jam packed with jump scares like the 18' version but, the sorry is great and it still is very eerie and scary. Tim Curry did an amazing job!

I've reviewed this mini-series before, just watch it for god's sake. definitely worth having in the collection if you like the 2017 & 2019 revisioning for the big screen. I got this Steelbook only for the Digital Copy. If you don't need/want a digital copy, get the standard BlueRay and save a few dollars.

This is easily one of my favorite Horror Movies, especially with Tim Curry playing the role of Pennywise the Clown the movie's antagonist. If you haven't seen this movie, or if like myself it is a favorite..I recommend buying a copy today. The movie is staffed with well-known, excellent actors.

Who doesn't love this mini series? Tim Curry did amazing in this and at one point scared the crap out of me. The Steelbook itself is nicely done. it has a glossy look and smooth feel to it. Glad I was able to pick this up Anyone who hasn't watched and was thinking of watching it I encourage you to.

The classic Stephen King has been brought to Blu-ray well the story is not on par with the latest 2019 version it still has its moments to grab your attention not for the little ones that's for sure but pick it up today for the price and in Blu-ray you can't beat it

Love clowns? Think again. This movie is the reason why people are afraid of clowns. Yes, you might get a few laughs from this one, but you may be one of the new people that become afraid of clowns. Also, don't look in sewers anymore. Know why? Watch and you will find out.

The video and audio quality of this adaptation is quite good even though it's not in widescreen because of the TV format at the time it was made. The only bonus feature is an audio commentary by the director and some of the actors. However, it's really good and definitely worth a listen.
