    It-Bluray + film mini review

An extremely well done TV mini series. I've never read the book so I can't compare them. The acting and special effects for the time in 1990 were great for television and even good by today's standards. Tim Curry is still a force in this series. He makes the whole project work. The ending is meh but still a standard by which many Steven King book adaptations are judged by. To that end I recommend this film. The Blu-ray is slightly above DVD quality as the quality does go back and forth but for the price definitely worth the upgrade.

    Just Doesn't Hold Up

This movie freaked me out as a kid, but much of what made it great hasn't held up with time. It still has some spooky and effective scenes, and Pennywise will always be creepy, but the presentation's slow pace and cheesy effects at the end keep the fear at bay. There is still a lot to enjoy, but I'd stick with the book if you're looking for a scare. This film is a solid introduction to the world of horror for adolescents, though. Given that you can buy it for a few bucks, it is worth it for the nostalgia alone.

Steven King's Classic It tells story of Derry IN based on TV mini-series from 1986. Young teens due battle with a demon killing clown that live's on their fears. And 30 years later evil clown returns for round two! Very well done for it's time an era. Still creeps some out to this day Tim Curry's amazing portrayal as Pennywise! "You'll float too!"

I really like the blueray version compared to the vhs or regular DVD because the colors are more vibrant in the movie. I also like how it's all on one dvd, the dvd I purchased a couple years ago was two and one got lost the other scratched and it wasn't blueray anyway. I will say this movie is better written than the new movie in theaters as the new movie does not stick to the integrity of the book.

So i watched this when it aired as a mini series on channel 7 as a kid. I read the book because my dad had it and was able to appreciate the visual. Althought alot of this mini series doesnt play out like the book it is still one of my faves. I am so excited the new IT movie to come out on blue ray because then my collection will be complete. And yes..i did get the book as an adult and my kids are avid readers and appreciate Stephen Kings talent as well!

A classic horror story seen this movie so many times and still love it my son never seen the Original and he love it after watching it the 1080p picture quality looks great. One thing I've noticed now that I'm older was pennywise wasn't seen that much in the second half also his true form could have been better but for that time I guess that's as good as it get's watching this movie made me so hype to see the IT chapter 2 remake.

I was excited to find this movie locally, and it was on sale. The steelbook is cool. But the description really needs to warn purchasers what the last date to claim the digital movie is. Luckily, I picked up my movie the day it was available. If I had waited until the last day in the pickup window, the code for claiming the digital movie would have been expired!

With the excitement of the remake I wanted to revisit the original. It is interesting to see what scenes are common and where the 2 adaptations differ. The miniseries looks a little dated but overall still holds up nicely. Very reasonably priced as well. I would say it's worth s second viewing and for those who haven't seen it, they will get s glimpse into what the sequel will feature.

This one is the truly horrifying story of the creature from underneath. It is interesting as well as terrifying of how this IT character haunts his young victims. Very nice special effects and terrific makeup makes this character a horror above the rest.

This movie probably cost $100 to make

If you are looking for a truly terrifying horror movie this is not it. If you are looking for a cheap and cheesy horror movie, this is the one for you. My guess is that this movie cost about $100 to make, and that was for the clown suit. The effects are poor and the acting is subpar. This movie has some good one liners in it, and many of the funny parts are not intended to be funny. BEEP BEEP RICHIE!!!

When i was younger this film definitely shook me a little on clowns. This is definitely the superior version of the film. Having only seen this on home video i never had to absorb it in parts. Unlike the new films which have me hanging for the conclusion. If the second part of the remake is of the same caliber as the first... I will definitely maintain my belief of the original being superior.

So this miniseries doesn’t have the level of special effects that the relatively recent films have. But it does have solid casting and it is more tightly paced than the films. Video and audio quality are excellent considering the age of the source materials and steelbook ramps things up a notch.

Before you go see the remake later this year, you need to watch the original miniseries that scared a generation! Tim Curry's performance is the standout as Pennywise the Clown. The first part with the kids is admittedly more interesting than the second part with the adult version of the characters. It is also a little dated, but overall, this is still a thriller I could recommend to any fans of the horror genre.

It is an extraordinary movie from Stephen's King novel. Here we have a character, Pennywise, who terrorize a small population through many generations nd gets back every 30 years. Having now the blue ray version, you can understand better what's going on with him. for being a TV mini-series and not counting with the technology and special effects of today, you defenetly going to think twice before you see a clown.

I got this movie to show my girlfriend, who never saw it before. I was worried because many movies, particularly horror films do not hold up over time. Thankfully Tim Curry and the late great Jonathan Brandis' performances still hold sway. The bluray picture makes Pennywise that much creepier. Because it was a tv miniseries, there isn't a lot of gore or swearing, but that doesn't diminish the eerieness.

This one has the Late John Ritter It. Plus other great actors. If you have not seen this movie see this first before you see the remake, so you can fairly judge the remake. this is a mini series not a movie. Do Not be fooled it is not a waist of time to watch this. A true King fan will want to see both. So buy this and see the remake.

Yes it might be older, it might not have the gore the new one does, but the original to me is so much more realistic and scary. I let my kids watch this one after watching the new one and they agree it's better AND it's 3 hours long!! Since it was originally a TV series they developed the story a little more in the original...
