One of the best King Adaptations ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It still amazes me that two of the best King adaptations ever produced were made for television (the other being Salem's Lot). This movie still holds up. It's gripping, emotional, and Tim Curry's Pennywise is just as terrifying as ever. Looks awesome in Blu ray, too. More extras would have been nice, but for the price, this is great.

Classic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw this movie when I was a kid in the early 90's....scared the heck out of me. was tooling around online and saw it was available in Blu-ray. I had to get so I could instill the fear I had in my kids.....didn't work; they laughed it off......I still think it is great to this day. would recommend for any King fan out there!

Where I was introduced to Pennywise!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have seen both parts of the recent movie adaptation and it was good too, but Tim Curry’s interpretation of Pennywise will always be the live action version I enjoy most. This might seem dated now if you have never seen it, but still worth “IT” in my book.

Great Commentary
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although I own this on VHS (and will not get rid of my original copy), I had to pick up IT on DVD during the Halloween sale simply because of the Audio Commentary featuring John Ritter and the director Tommy Lee Wallace, among others. But, wait, did you just hear that: a John Ritter commentary? I'd buy any movie, even if John Ritter wasn't in it, just for a John Ritter commentary. Great purchase here.

Great movie, solid performances
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fairly good adaptation of the Stephen King novel by the same name. This was a made for tv movie, and was originally shown over the course of 2 nights. This Blu-Ray is not in widescreen, so the picture will not take up the entire screen of your hd tv that you own. Worth watching, and it will be interesting to see how the remake coming out compares to this.

Not too bad
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Inconsistent, but about as good as you could expect from a 1990 tv production.

Classic
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The original It movie! Classic. The value here was great, even included a coupon for a ticket to the remake which was just about to hit theaters at the time! If you like Stephen King, and/or you like Horror movies, this is a must!

Tim Curry Is Fantastic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I remember this movie terrifying my friends and me when it came out when I was a kid. I had to purchase this after seeing the preview to the new 2017 version of IT that is coming out in the fall. The first half of the miniseries is definitely stronger than the 2nd half, but overall it's an enjoyable 3 hr film.

Some say it doesn't hold up, but I think it does.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Take into consideration , this is a t.v movie so it won't be the most violent horror movie and it won't be the most faithful to the source material. Although the scenes with the kids are well acted, and for me the best part of the movie. Also note that one scene was omitted and two were shortened, but it doesn't seem to affect the pace of the film.

Still Scary!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Both the DVD and the Blu-ray feature an edited version of the film, which presents It as one "movie". The suicide scene at the end of Part 1 is shortened, the hotel scene from Part 2 is missing, and the graveyard scene toward the beginning of Part 2 is also slightly shortened to remove the on-screen credits that originally appeared.

Halloween Classic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never seen this movie, so I decided to pick it up when I saw that it was on sale & I had a coupon. I was stoked to finally see this Halloween classic. I went in with the impression that I was going to be really scared, but only because when I was younger I heard so many things about it. Obviously I'm an adult now, so I didn't really get scared, but I did enjoy the movie.

Classic Stephen King
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the classic TV mini series which had the great Tim Curry as Pennywise the evil clown. The show tries and sometimes succeeds at capturing the book's great story about kids aging and losing their innocence all while this insanity is invading their lives from below the town. The ending could have been done better, but it was again made for TV.

Tim Curry is epic!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Though Scarsgard's new Pennywise is phenomenal, Tim Curry was amazing in his own right. No cgi, just makeup effects and Curry's amazing acting skills makes this a must own. Also the Steelbook is just great to have in any collection!

You’ll Float Too!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This steelbook is a must have for all horror movie fanatics! It is a matte finish with awesome artwork of Pennywise himself inside and out. However, there is no digital code included. This movie is a classic favorite of mine and if you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend!

Old School Movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to purchase to rekindle the flame before going to see the new version. I read alot of reviews and everyone bashed the bluray version because of its aspect ratio. Decided to not even try and went with the regular DVD version. Thankfully read another review that showed flipping the disc over let me watch the 2nd half of the movie!

Classic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I heard It is being redone. I could see improving it in many ways as the acting is just ok and the graphics are very dated. The story is still great and I hope they keep the 70's look of the original. This is a pretty good horror movie to intoduce younger viewers to the genre as it's not super graphic or gory. Blood yes, but no guts or sadism.

If you love scary movies this is a must see
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Who doesn't love or hate IT? this movie gave me my fear of clowns that took years to get over. It's a great classic and is perfect for a family night. My kids have never seen it but that will change this October. Now they will know why older people are afraid of clowns

A classic tale of horror on Blu-ray
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to beef up my Stephen King DVD collection. When I found this for this price on Blu-ray. I thought it was worth it so I bought it on Blu-ray. Even though they're making a remake it can never take away from the classic .Tim Curry was definitely the best and playing the Clown Pennywise.
