Not really scary but definitely spooky and creepy to say the least. Most of all though it's funny as heck. Tim Currys protrayal of Pennywise is top notch. He has me dying every time he's on screen. "KISS ME FAT BOY!!!!!", classic line. Should watch this one before you see the remake. Go back to where it all started. Stephen King is a legend. One of his much better book to film adapations. The remake is better in my opinion but its not really fair to compare the 2 because they're both 2 different kinds of films, with 2 very different tones. They both are excellent with balancing their them, but you can't really compare the 2 villains in the movie : Pennywise. It's like comaring Jack Nicholsons Joker to Heath Ledgers Joker, you just can't. They both served their purpose in their own respected ways. Anyway. Recommended. You'll laugh your butt off.

If you haven’t seen the original IT as of today then do yourself a favor and pick this up :D it’s a classic horror movie. It won’t frighten you and cause nightmares. Unless you have a clown phobia. The steelbook is a nice added bonus if you like collecting the Best Buy steelbook editions!

Lenticular Slipcover gives this copy of “IT” a real speaking point. It is the same disc as the 2016 release, with much better packaging and free movie money for the next film. If you’re interested in seeing the new one this purchase is a no-brainer....

With "IT - Chapter II" now in theaters, it was time to acquire and visit the Origins of Pennywise - the shape shifting Clown that re-appears every 27 years to prey on children. A pulsating edge-of-your-seat thriller that will haunt your dreams!!

This release is very very bare bones. I was really hoping for a behind the scenes featurette. The good news is that it contains an $8 movie money for IT Chapter 2. While it's long, Tim Curry's iteration of Pennywise is haunting and worth the time.

This is a really great movie I love the original with Tim curry. I actually already own this on Blu-ray Steelbook but because the artwork on this one is different I choose to get this to. This only comes with the Blu-ray Disc & a digital HD code.

Tim Curry's Pennywise gets all the stars here, his "normal" clown turned terrifying nightmare is worth viewing this 1990 made-for-TV series. The real creepy stuff from the book and 2017 feature film is wholy santitized for this 90's network television adaptation of King's epic novel.

This is still a pretty good watch. The quality is good and it films like the film has not playback issues. I like the steel book that it comes in. For fans of this movie, collectors, or any one that like a nice case this is a good catch. For the price as well this is a good deal.

I already had bought this movie from Walmart but it came in a cheap case and didn’t even seem like a legit movie. When I seen the steel book edition at Best Buy I instantly bought it. Case is 100% more sturdy and I was happy about it.

IT (1990) is an enjoyable, yet cheesy miniseries and nice palate cleanser before watching It Chapter 2. It includes all the silly performances you remember and TIm Curry's memorable performance as everyone's favorite evil space clown.

Loved this film when it was made for TV. Love Tim Curry as Pennywise. I do like the remake and am looking forward to Chapter 2. This movie has a great cast and good scares throughout. Would recommend it to any Stephen King fan!

Giving the time and budget for this adaptation of Stephen King’s IT, it’s still a pretty decent mini series. Granted it takes some liberties with the writing and some of the acting. Still, for me, it’s one of those mini series I’ll watch anytime it’s on.

Great collectors item for the iconic tv movie. While the acting is spotty sometimes, it's still a good adaption. They have the entire movie on a single blu ray disc, so no more flipping the disc halfway through!

Saw this movie as a kid and it scared the crap out me back then. Bought it so I can compare it to the new one and I still like the clown better on this older version. I would definitely recommend buying the older version. And compare it for yourself.

IT was one of the first horror movies I ever saw as a kid. Although it terrified me, it definitely started my lifelong obsession with horror movies. This blu ray version looks great, and at a great price!

The miniseries while cheesy, will forever be a classic due in equal parts to that cheesiness, the story (who doesn’t get at least slightly irked by a clown?), and Tim Curry. The Blu Ray transfer is the best this series will ever look.

I have always thought the original It movie with Tim Curry playing Pennywise was one of the best horror movies ever made and they did an incredible job on the remake of the movie as well.

I really enjoyed this movie when it came out on TV years ago. It's great to finally own it on blu-ray. I do like the new release better but Tim Curry did an amazing job as Pennywise.

I'm so happy to be able to finally own this mini series on Blu Ray, and the digital copy is a nice bonus. The cherry on top is having Tim Curry's Pennywise on the cover!

The original is always good but honestly not as scary as the first time I saw this movie. Enjoy with your older friends as your kids will probably like the latest version.
