The Rolling Stones gave us "Sticky Fingers" during a run of four albums where anyone would be hard pressed not to admit they were at the very peak of creativity and playing. The Mic Taylor era of course included his wonderful guitar work and sound that really etches that time into your musical brain! "Sticky Fingers" has long been regarded as a fantastic collection of material and the additional tracks included in this set are a very welcome addition. The booklet is also a well produced addition as is the bonus single of "Wild Horses"/"Brown Sugar" that you can order from the info contained within the box set. It is not a cheap flimsy 45 but a solid piece of vinyl that sounds great on the turntable and is a welcome addition to this Stones fan's collection!

One of the best albums from The Stones immense catalog. Starting off with the blistering Brown Sugar thru to the laid back Moonlight Mile, Sticky Fingers mixes rock, blues, and ballads, and provided The Stones with a few concert staples still in their set lists today. But as good as the main album is the bonus disc is a must for Stones fans. Brown Sugar with Clapton has been boot legged for years and is officially available then there is Can't You Hear Me knocking with Keith and Mick Taylor working out the song. Jagger doesn't even have the lyrics yet. The extended version of Bit#$ is great too. Then there are the live cuts which show off what The Stones do best. Highly recommended.

Along with Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed and Exile On Main Street, this is arguably the greatest album ever by the world's greatest rock 'n roll band. This is the post-60's peace and love, nasty early 70's hard core drug inspired kick but Stones at their pinnacle. Played out classics include "Brown Sugar," and "Wild Horses," but this album's deeper cuts are the true gems.
I dare you to keep the hair on your head from standing on end as you hear the opening chords to the epic "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" at full volume. Forget heavy metal - it just doesn't get any raunchier than this, or any better, as Keith and Mick Taylor go at it with a vengeance. Billy Preston guest stars with his classic afro organ sound on the bittersweet "I Got the Blues." Then hold on to your hats, turn down the lights and contemplate the mysteries of the Holy Trinity of "Sister Morphine," "Dead Flowers" and "Moonlight Mile," an incredible sequence of Mick, Keith, Mick Talyor and Ry Cooder genius that will leave you crying for more. Memorable and twisted lyrics, haunting guitars, classic Mick vocals and just pure greatness. These drug drenched masterpieces, not for the faint-hearted, could easily have provided an Abbey Road-like crescendo to the Stones' career. Fortunately for us, Keith somehow survived and the Stones went on to record "Exile," their last truly great album.
Warning: in a lame crowd, this is an instant party killer.
As a final note, the original vinyl album cover, designed by Andy Warhol, has a real zipper and is a collector's item.

Sticky Fingers set the stage for the Stones exit from the 60s and Brian Jones. From the provocative cover to the Tongue, this album launched the Stones into the stratosphere of rock music. The addition of the tracks with alternative versions and live tracks for performance during the time make this a cool historically introspective. Get your fingers sticky with this one!

One of the top Rolling Stones' discs, made even better with the addition of outstanding bonus tracks. An early version of "Can't YouHear Me Knocking", along with live tracks , highlight the greatness of this era with Mick Taylor. The lack of more performance footage on the DVD is the only low point of this essential Rock document.

One of the greatest by the greatest. This new album sounds superb and the bonus tracks are a delight to hear. Lost gems finally get their release. The box these CDs come in is attractive and looks great on a bookshelf or desk. Definitely the better purchase if you are a Stones fan.

One of the all-time great albums got a magnificent update and the 2 CD version I bought at Best Buy includes some cool outtakes and live music by the Stones. At the time they were considered the greatest rock & roll band in the world and this LP confirmed that!

I was hitch hiking across the country when I first heard the tracks on this album in a panel truck with a guy and three other hitch hikers on a single ride from Reno to central Colorado. Great album bringing back a great trip.

I cannot get enough of this box set! I bought it for the price, which was phenomenal by the way, but got hooked on the music selections. I have told several people about it and I plan on buying this on vinyl also.

As a huge fan of the Rolling Stones, I am a bit biased towards their music. However, Sticky Fingers is one of my favorite albums by them. The expanded edition is pretty great and a must for any Stones fan.

Faithful remastering and repackaging true to the original cover artwork. The deluxe edition adds a full disc of acoustic and live material, plus a live DVD period show.

My favorite Rolling Stones album remastered. I'm glad the Stones took the time to bring out some outtakes that were not available before. The live DVD is outstanding.

This version is in between the 2 cd and the extensive box set. If you don't feel like shelling out for the big box set, this is your best bet.

The album is a classic and that cannot be disputed. My only issue was the price on this package. For the longer box special edition you get a book with pictures plus the two cd set. It would've been nice to make this a 3 disc and add the live show from the Marquee club. Buy it...maybe just the standalone 2 cd set.

Great 72 page booklet, you don't see much information on Mick Taylor. And the 7-inch vinyl !
