I have only started to use this device, but found it easy to connect with my iPod Classic and a much newer Bluetooth speaker. Very happy with it so far. The distance of transmission is doing very well across the house. Not having a built-in power source means the device HAS to be connected to a power source in order to operate.
I would recommend this to a friend

The device produces an overpowering hum that prevents listening to the music. There is a knob to adjust the hum but it is extremely difficult to eliminate the hum which returns and requires ongoing adjustments.
