The showcase piece of this concert was Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring." The composers, including Stravinsky, are early to mid-20th century and are not my personal favorites. I prefer "The Firebird" to "The Rite of Spring." Two of the composers are German (Berg and Webern) and one was born in Transylvania (Ligeti). The Soprano (Barbara Hannigan) is very accomplished. In addition to opera, she is also a conductor (Berlin Philharmonic) and other major orchestras. She is known for her acting ability, which was evidenced in the comedic Ligeti "Mysteries of the Macabre." A good production, but I have seen Sir Simon Rattle conduct other concerts that I prefer. It is simply a matter of personal taste.
