Customers find value in the Band Fitness and Sleep Tracker's sleep tracking, price point, step tracking, and ease of use. Many appreciate its accuracy in monitoring sleep patterns and steps, along with its affordability compared to competitors. However, some users report that the battery life could be improved and that the device's accuracy is not always consistent. The device's water resistance is also a positive feature for some customers.

The instructions could provide more detail or could be clearer, especially how to exclude the distance recorded while driving. The sleep recording seems to be hit and miss for me and there were no instructions about how to interpret the graph that's produced.

I bought this watch as a gift and was guaranteed by a sales associate it was the same as a Fitbit watch, but the only difference was the name brand as embarrassed I was to receive a call from the person whom I gave the gift to advise me that gift was under recall as she was told by a Best Buy associate that was the reason we couldn't get it to work the night prior. Embarrassed and misinformed at the cashiers box.

Great Device within it's budget class

It tracks my sleep patterns quite accurately, and counts steps taken and calories burned. The companion app for my Android phone works very well. It's even got a little game within the app where you get more energy to play the game by increasing your real life physical activity. It must be pointed out that if you compared this device to higher priced devices in this category (usually with many more features) this one does NOT stack up well. However, at this price point it is a useful device for a person with casual monitoring in mind.

It didn't work well when it worked. I ended up buying a Fit Bit after all.

I got this tracker for obvious reasons and was attracted to it because of the price, features, and compatibility with android (SGS5). I was really glad that it had a group of apps that were not only compatible but free. So I took it home paired it seamlesly with my phone and waited for it to charge. About an hour later it was ready, fully charged from 0%. So I put it on and it was not buaandor heavy and it was waterproof. I like how easy it was to use and read but that evening it was down to 20%. I kept using it hoping it took 2 or 3 charges to get the 4-5 day battery life i read about but i never saw that duration. So i exchanged it hoping it was just a bad band amd the same thing happened with the replacement. So i took it back for a striiv touch and am very glad i did.

I picked up the Striiv Band based on price and features. Its alot more accurate than the fitbit is at tracking steps, its cheaper too. My only complaint Is you need an Android 4.3 or higher to use it. IOS 7 is supported, and unlike androids, most modern iPhones can utilize the latest OS. Of you have the required state its definitely worth a buy.

Not ready for Android

Drove myself nuts trying to deal with the application on Galaxy Note II, which is supposed to be compatible. NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME on this phone. No help from Striiv support. (Reload, reboot, reset are their favorite words).
Loaded app on iPhone 4S (lucky I have one). works flawlessly.
Only 2nd complete day functional with iPhone. I almost returned it because of the goofy Android application. If you don't have an iPhone, don't bother because the frustrations aren't worth it.

Warning - Server issues -

I was thrilled to receive this as a holiday gift and it worked fine until about 10 days ago, when the steps would not rotate to the next day. Instead, it added cumulatively to the day before. I went through three sessions with Striiv customer service, who were prompt about responding, but they told me there are other customers experiencing the same thing and it is in the server. When I questioned about the guarantee, they said it was not on the band but on the server side so they are working with the engineers on in - and ultimately it is not covered for replacement.
I rarely do a complaint on a product, but I don't want others to have to go through this issue. They ask me to "be patient" but I can't help but feel disillusioned.

Striiv fail

This was given to me as a gift and it appeared to track my days steps fine but after the last update, if I do not carry my phone with me, it does not track my walks. Also after the update I lost all of my history. I've found this band to be very inaccurate and fails frequently. The Striiv band has mistaken motorcycle rides for steps, failed to register steps from an actual walk and can be fooled just by swinging your arms back and forth. I no longer trust any readings I get from this band and am probably going to return it to find a better model. I take several walks a day, both at work and when I get home and really would like something much more accurate.
One more item, the app and the Bluetooth connection, if left on, constantly send data burning up your cell phone's data plan rather than just updating the app on the cell phone itself.

NOT RESETTING NIGHTLY
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
The band is not resetting the step total or anything else at midnight. When I contacted customer service, they gave me a fix (a band aid in the software world). The fix reset the totals for ONE day. The next night it did not reset. I bought one for my wife so that we could track activity together and hers is doing the same thing. It is no mystery that Best Buy is selling these at $40 when their original price (when I bought one) was $59.

Customer service is bad, band broke

I bought this band. It just broke when I went to take it off, after having it for only a few months. When I contacted their (the company's) customer service about it, they told me they were not going to replace it and I could have a 30% off coupon for my next band. Why would I buy another band when the first one broke after only few months. Don't buy this fitness band, it is a waste of money for sure.
