Written before the vampire craze of Twilight and True Blood, SUCK makes fun of the music industry and the perspective of a band that has the choice of living forever. Rob Stefaniuk is not only the director but also writes/performs the music and stars as the lead role of Joey. The movie involves a garage band struggling for stardom. Traveling from bar to bar and never cutting a record deal, they needed a new image. After a night out with a new deranged Carrot Top looking friend, Jennifer, the base guitarist, looks a little pale. Her metamorphosis into a vampire advances the band’s success; however, leaves a bloody trail along their music tour. Dr. Van Halsing is determined to stop Jennifer and the band from their new fame before someone gets out of hand or worse undead. This satire movie leaves a band riding in the fast lane and the decision of immortality for their rising music success. With cameo appearances by Alice Copper, Iggy Pop, Moby, Dave Foley, Malcolm McDowell, and many more, SUCK will not be a disappointment.
