one of my favorite movies. the storyline is very captivating.

Enjoyed it but dont understand the storyline kind of confused

Get this only if you like Steam Punk, all female cast, and noir. I do, but this story just felt lacking.

I've been wanting to see this movie ever since it came out and finally saw it for 4 bucks. After watching it, 4 bucks isn't a lot to spend, but not worth owning the movie for. It didn't make sense to me, I fast forwarded thru about 15 minutes to get to the end, which sucked. The entire time I was thinking what is going on and why. Excellent soundtrack tho. This is probably in my top 5 worst movies I've ever seen.

I bought it for my wife and daughter. They found it to be a fun movie with lots of cool visuals.

First, let me sum up what I'm going to say. I enjoyed this film every second. When this came out in the theaters, Just about every critic review trashed it. They made this movie seem like it was the worst piece of garbage ever... I watched it today for myself, almost reluctantly. My first thought..."What were they thinking!" This film is very deep in a bit of a more subtle approach. The story is capable of moving you, and even tugging on some of those tears you might have a problem letting go of. That's not to say this movie does not have flaws. It's almost like watching three movies all at once. About the first third of the film is like a music video. No real dialogue, just a moving narrative given to you by motion and sound. It then moves on to the story. The action sequences are well done, and over the top. So the film does jump from drama/action/scif... I admit it can be jarring if you weren't expecting it. But...when you realize *why* these events are seen this way, you'll likely be more on board. Some of the acting may not be the absolute best, but they give you the emotion that you want. The main character doesn't say much at all, and most times it relies on the surrounding cast to push the story. But again, the plot sums that reasoning up for you. Do not pass up on this film. Ignore the bad reviews you may have heard.. Any person in real live that I know has enjoyed this movie. SuckerPunch is just one of those films that you have to experience for yourself. I saw this flim in theaters and was blown away by the action! Theres a scene where shes fighting Giant Samuri Warriors and she looks as if she was about to go Super Sayin! The movie can be confusing at times and you'll feel like your brain hurts when its all over but the second time you watch it'll all make sense (Yeah, its one of those). The Chicks are hot, the action never stops, and the soundtrack is awesome. Minus the fact that you'll probably have to watch this movie 2 times to understand it, its so good action wise you won't mind!

Like good action in a movie? Like good cinematography? Like good sound? Like hot chicks in skimpy clothing fighting fantasy enemies? Then you might think that Sucker Punch is a good movie for you. But there's one more criteria: Do you like intricate plot and themes in movies, and do you carefully look for such things in the movies you watch? Because if you don't, Sucker Punch will be nothing more than another silly action movie trying to suck as much money away as possible before it floats into obscurity. If you actually take the time to look closer than the cool action and hot chicks, though, you'll see that Zachery Snider has carefully crafted a story with several different interweaving themes, and intricate characters. There is a ton to see here, just below the surface. But if you're too absorbed with the eye-candy of the hot chicks with guns and swords, you'll miss the point. So what do you like in your movies?

what makes this film so amazing isnt its seamless meshing of 3d and live action visuals, or its flawless soundtrack, or even its ability to pull at your heartstrings during its more pivotal points. No, what makes it so amazing is that some parts of it can be interpreted in multiple ways. The people who tend to dislike it are those who either go in expecting one thing but get another, or who prefer to have plotlines spoon fed to them from start to finish. I went in expecting mindless nudity with guns and swords. What i got was a movie that really made me care for the characters and what happened to them. This is what that horrible film tim burton made under the title of "Alice in wonderland" should have been. I can say this, everything isnt what it seems and if youre prepared to do a little thought during or even after the film is over you will be well rewarded.
