    From the haunting melody of the movie's score to the grainy video quality of the film, this movie immediately brings me back to my younger days when I first saw it. Great cast, great character development, funny scenes, tender moments - this film has it all. Glad to have a copy of this in my collection for those times when I'm in the mood for something nostalgic. After all, everyone has had their own version of a Summer of '42.

    My copy of this movie locks up temporarily at one particular spot in the movie. I played the movie on two other DVD players and confirmed that the disk is faulty (one scene only). This movie has sentimental value to me (location and family member is in the movie). Can't give it more than 3 stars because of the faulty disk

    Summer of ‘42 is a great movie. This blu-ray transfer is BAD, with terrible sound quality and abysmal color tones - everything (from faces to hillsides) looks dark pink. Stick with the DVD - even though it may look grainy on a 4K TV, the color and sound are infinitely better.

    Love this movie. Very interesting contrast between the simplicity of life and the effects of war.

    fantastic movie for time of its making. Best Buys online processing very good as well
