9' Solar Light Umbrella

The solar panel at the top was also unplugged so I had to fiddle with it to get the lights working. I highly recommend closing the umbrella for any strong gusts you know may be coming (storms/etc) because the braces won't hold up (as I found out). The lights aren't very bright but the umbrella itself is as described (does not come with a base).

Posted .Zane, I apologize for the less than completely satisfied feeling you are left with. All solar panels are packaged separately because they need more protection while in transit. All you have to do is plug it into the umbrella. Yes, most definitely close the umbrella when not in use, or during wind/ thunder storms, as we do not replace for wind damages. It should state under the product overview that the umbrella does not come with a base, or base not included, as most umbrellas do not come with bases. Did you try reaching out to our customer service team about the damaged crank issue? Our contact info should have been clearly shown on the front page of your manual. This should be an easy claim for any replacement part(s) or full product replacement under the warranty. You can contact us via email at [email protected] or phone at 877-477-2264. It not contain a base and we installet it in a content full of sand but when we had some air then it went out and flown some meters from us. After that we closed it and with small wind it can fall again, the umbrella is not good for windy places. We took it inside. After we saw in the news that this kind of umbrellas cause fire for the overheating panel, so we think that we never will use it again :( .

Posted .Sorry, but it sounds like you may be using the umbrella incorrectly, leading to it easily falling over. We are happy to help explain how to properly use the product if you would like to reach out to [email protected] - Also, the fire issue is NOT ALL SOLAR UMBRELLAS. A single vendor sold the umbrellas to that retailer. It is only their solar products that have the issue. We have been selling our solar products for more than 20 years and NEVER had a single issue with fire. Please be sure you do your research before you simply state in an online review that an umbrella will cause fire, as other customers read and then base their decisions off those comments. Sun-Ray Solar Umbrellas are safe!

The color has faded making it unappealing. The solar light is marginal at best. Mood light, yes. Umbrella will last you a year before you will consider replacing.

Posted .Teee, You purchased our least expensive umbrella, that offers no additional fade resistance. You would need to purchase our more expensive umbrella with better fabric (upgraded polyester or Olefin fabric canopy), to withstand your climate, which we do offer via Best Buy website as well as many other sites. Did you try reaching out to our customer service team about the issue? Our contact info should have been clearly shown on the front page of your manual. This should be an easy claim for a new canopy under the warranty. As for the lighting issue, did you try changing out the rechargeable batteries?
