    $5000 mistake

Bought this TV on recommendation of AV company. After 1 year noticed gasket coming out. Sunbrite replaced with a refurb. One year later screen was cracked. Because of location, Sunbrite said I should have purchased full sun product even though TV was covered when not using, and was used primarily at night. Sunbrite said parts where discontinued and offered 20% discount on new TV. So, my misunderstanding was that TV could be damaged when placed in direct sunlight, not just that it wouldn't be bright enough to watch in direct sunlight. $5000 mistake on my part, or is this TV really not 'weather proof"?

Hi there. We're sorry for the experience you've had here - it's certainly not the experience we want for our valued customers. SunBrite makes 3 different main outdoor TV product lines, which are engineered specifically for the amount of sun exposure received. For full sun environments, the SunBrite Pro series is the right product. It has a high-temperature resistant screen and extended solar tolerance technology to actively dissipate heat in harsh full-sun applications. Hope this is helpful.
