The stability is decent, but it's still ultimately up to how steady you can hold your hand.

This looked like a great option, but when I got it home I noticed there was no way to attach the GoPro. You have to buy a separate tripod mount. What's the point of selling it without the mount? Even if you have a tripod mound, you probably don't want to switch it back and forth, so charge a couple more $ and include it.

This product is great, except it lacks having any hot shoe mounts on the top. The version of this that's a bit bigger for DSLR's and other camera has these mounts. So you cannot add an external mic or lighting. But if your not concerned with any of that, then this is perfect for shooting go pro footage.

I was told this did not fit my DLSR. After checking the specs, it supports up to about 4.5 lbs. My camera is a 6D. With that camera and L lens, still under 4lbs... it was worth a try. It worked! The clearance from the handle and the camera don't allow for any other device mounting, but I easily mounted a Rode mic on top with nylon tie straps.
