Awesome tripod. Great Quality, stable lots of adjustments, QR ballhead. Compacts down nicely to fit in a backpack. Fits my camera backpack tripod holder without sticking up to high like Standard size tripods. Light weight for an aluminum tripod. I shopped around until scoring on this one. Great height adjustments for up high normal or for the down low micro or below eye level shots.. I use it with my FujiFilm X-E1 mirrorless camera. Comes with carring also.

Pros: Has lasted me through many occasions, and highly recommend it if this is your budget. Holds my 8 lb camera lens and body with ease even leaning portrait direction. Packs up in a carry case. Cons: The legs (each part that screws) can come all the way out and this often happens (especially if someone is trying to help you) and there is a little plastic white ring on the inside to keep each part that screws in place, so when the pieces get all the way unscrewed these rings can fall out easy and break and over time more fall out (it still works without some of the rings, but is messy when shooting outdoors). If you need a tripod for speed, this is not the one as there are so many parts that unscrew and screw to change the height.

I went into the BestBuy store at the last minute before my daughters wedding, as my tripod had gone missing! And as I scanned the available product, this one really stood out. And despite the fact that I really only needed the tripod for the day, I still ended up purchasing this one. Being able to compare the products side by side (Best Buy's reason for being!), for quality of construction, materials, fit and finish (I'm an engineer and designer), it was clear to me that this product was the real value! Despite the fact there there were many others on display, and some considerably cheaper, I really appreciate a well designed and made product, so I bought it! :-)))
In use it turned out to be exactly what I thought it would be. It's easy to use, the ball joint stays where you put it, everything slides, rotates, and locks where it should! It's a REAL QUALITY product.... So much so in fact, that after using it, I don't care if I ever find my old one! :-)))
I'm sure that it's not on par with some professional level models, but it certainly overlaps from high end amature use into the lower professional level products.
You certainly won't be sorry if you buy it... I wasn't! Oh, and by the way, the wedding was fantastic! And due to the stability of this tripod (and a nice Canon camera also from BestBuy!), I took some really, really nice stills and video to send to all the guests... For memories to last a life time... Priceless! :-))
Hope this review helps!

This is my first and best tripod so far!
I love the design and simple features that allow you to extend the legs and mid section.
One of the main reasons I bought it was because of all the positive reviews it had.
It even comes with a bag and instructions. (Sunpak cares about their customers and went above and beyond with this one.)
It so easy to use that its been a week and still haven’t touched the manual booklet for instructions.
Sturdy enough to hold my T5 and 18-55 lens and the level of wind it can resist is off the charts. Also the feet are made out of rubber.
I’ve had this stand on flat concrete and on uneven land. Never wiggled, wobbled, or fell.

I bought the open box and it was missing a piece. I understand why it was over half off so I wasn’t upset about it. I ordered the original part that is was missing and it’s a great stand! I have a heavy camera and it works great. Very sturdy. It’s nice and I’m glad I made the purchase. The only reason why I’m giving it a 4 star instead of a 5 is because the missing piece. Would I buy it again? Absolutely would! Honestly, I recommend buying open box excellent condition because it saves you so much money.

Great tripod for the money very sturdy and it goes with hook under it so you can have it weighted down in order to have it more stable during windy conditions. Had it for over 5 month no issues.

Amazing.
Noisy at high speeds, Quiet mode is ok. Record audio in post, if necessary.
The app needs work, firmware update unspectacular.
I like it for no real reason. It’s beautiful to look at. A excellent addition to my gadget collection.
Great for time laps, with movement, vertically, and horizontally.
I recommend experimenting with a strong tripod, in none Traditional ways, Be very observant, of the weight exchange, and limits.
The cheaper version is not worth it. The case, and the accessories, make all the difference.

Got as an open box special. Love it for the price I got. Was missing the mount and the telescoping legs can be a pain to open and close, but not a total deal breaker. I’m sure there’s better out there but I’m happy with it.

This is a great tripod when you need flexibility in positioning your camera. I added an extender and it works perfectly with this tripod. I could not get the extender positioned correctly with my previous tripod so I am very happy that this one is so flexible.

The Sunpak TravelLite Pro has been a handy addition to my travel gear. It folds down much smaller than a traditional tripod, which makes it easy to pack in a carry-on or camera bag. At full height, it’s sturdy enough for my mirrorless camera with a wide-angle lens, and the ball head makes adjusting angles quick.
The reverse folding legs are clever and save space, though they do take a moment to get used to when setting up. It’s not as heavy-duty as my studio tripod, so I wouldn’t put a large cinema rig on it, but for travel, real estate shoots, or lightweight setups, it does the job well.
The red accents give it a nice look, and overall it balances portability with stability. Great choice if you need something compact without sacrificing full height.

Fits in a backpack. Extends out taller than my old Kodak tripod, but it can also go small. No worries about using my Nikon DSLR with this tripod. Though its lightweight, its strong. Easy locking clips for setting leg angle, simple twist locks for extending legs. Folds into itself to make it so portable. Nice carrying pouch too. Wish this was available years ago when I was much more active with my camera and always wishing i had a more portable tripod to bring along.
Thanks Best Buy for making this available at such a great price over the holidays. I could not find anything else online that compared to my quality and portability requirements at such a great price.

This is well built, well engineered travel Tripod. The Ability to flip the legs up and bring it in line with the two middle shafts is critical in getting to fit in the backpack that came with my telescope. This thing has the abilty to move nearly 270 degrees with ball joint, and with the Horizontal joint it will pretty much point where you want it to.
The only 'minor' gripe I have is, the ball joint itself is pretty much hard to 'align' a telescope with, as it is 'too tight' until it reaches a particular point, and then it it's too lose.
I should note, I am using this for new beginners telescope, and if at the level of magnification of the scope, the slightest wiggle become a massive earthshaking event. This Tripod is 10 levels above the one that came with the scope (This is Celestron 70, portable). By comparison this tripod is rock steady so long as your not hanging on to it.
Otherwise, this is a very good tripod, well worth the price which is not Cheap but beats the dickens out of the 'inexpensive tripods'. If your doing photography it will be rock steady, and supportive.
Oh, and I stand at 69" in height and when full opened the platform where the equipment is mounted to, Is above my head and over 6 foot. So that is a bonus.

This tripod is very intuitive to use, folds compactly, and keeps a camera stable!
In particular, I found that the grips on the legs are quite good, and so I can often just shift the legs around to get the framing I want when the height is close-enough.
It's also extremely compact for something that has this range of heights.
As for cons, I'd say it's not a quick set-up -- it takes time to adjust the telescoping legs, and in particular to get them about the same length unless extending all the way. Also very much a nit but I found that when tightening components on the poll it causes the camera view to drift up ever so slightly right before it locks in place -- this only really matters with zoomed lenses, but worth considering when framing your shot.

My number 1 reason for liking this tripod is the weight, I have a similar style tripod however it's much more heavier and whenever I take it with me on flights it always needed to be checked in because it's much taller and the weight, however with the Sunpack I can actually fit it into my luggage I take with me on the plane making my packing so much easier. When I take it with me everywhere it's easy to unlock and lock, having arthritis this helps. It's sturdy it held my 70-200mm lens very well.

When I bought this tripod I was looking for the ability to compact it down for storage and travel in a backpack. Yet I still wanted to flexibility to have a tall and sturdy tripod.
This tripod is the best I could find that didn't break the budget like more high end but still did an amazing Job. It has nice red accents that are not too overpowering by the eye.
Overall great tripod for the price, very compact and travel friendly, quick setup & easy to break down in a hurry.
