I love this tripod so much! It was either the manfrotto or this.
I chose this due to the cost and how small it can get when you fold it up.
I have taken this everywhere! Its been used at Joshua Tree, photoshoots, parks, hikes, etc. This tripod is not only portable but extremely light!!!
2 things I must state that may change your mind on this.
1) There is no "handle" to turn the mount when taking panning. There is a small knob but a handle (in my opinion) would have been better.
2) The shoulder strap for the case should be better. Mine ripped from the constant usage.

This tripod is small but is very well made and sturdy. It feels very durable once you have it in your hands. I use it with a mirrorless camera and a telephoto lens without any issues.

I was skeptical at first on whether to get this tripod or the more expensive mifoto or Manfrotto ones, and I am not disappointed with my choice. The tripod is a bit heavier than the mifoto version, and has a slightly less premium feel, yet it somehow feels more durable. It is substantial, and provides just enough for everything I was doing. We went to the pacific northwest for a week and adventured in the forests and the coastline and I had almost no problems. The only thing that happened was that one of the legs got a little loose and so it wouldn't stay folded in the stowed away position very well, but all I needed to do was tighten the bolt and then I put some Loctite on it when I got home. Definitely would buy again.

My wife had been asking for a tripod foe a while now. This is a very good quality unit. It starts off small enough to be a table unit but extends tall enough to take a scenic view or family portrait.

So, let me start this off by saying I am by no means a professional photographer. However, this tripod is great, it folds to be very compact, is easy to extend and secure and a has a very wide range of heights that it can be used at.
Additionally, the weight and material of it gives the impression of quality. I feel like this tripod will last several years and be great for home use.
If I could find one negative it would be that it may take longer to set up than other tripods I have used int he past. It locks in place by screwing each section tight. While this takes longer than some that just click into place, it should last longer without breaking.
I am very happy with this purchase.

Sunpak makes awesome tripods at a very reasonable price. This Tripod fits the bill. It's can be a little wobbly on uneven surfaces, but once you get it adjusted it was very sturdy and help up really well with my Canon R6II with 24-105 lens on it.
