Needed a basic trip for zoom recording while out of town. Wished it could have been more on the sturdy side but overall it did its job for the price. Kinda flimsy. Came with cloth carrying bag.

The phone attachment has an open back which is great for the ring on the back of my phone case. However the attachment doesnt screw in all the way and the phone wobbles around because of that and it feel like I'm going to pop off the attachment every time I put my phone in. I will be returning this.

    Reliable Tripod

It’s lightweight (about 1.1 lb) and folds down small (16.5″), which makes it easy to travel with. It reaches a decent height (50″) , works fine for my phone, and even my fx3! (with careful setup) That said, there are a few trade-offs. The legs aren’t super rigid, so there’s some wobble, especially if you push the height near its max or use it in a breeze. For heavier cameras or very stable shots, this tripod may not be enough. Overall: great value if you want something affordable and portable for light / casual use. If you need something more robust, you might spend a bit more to get better stability!

Great Lightweight Tripod for Travel— Not Heavy Gr

I bought the Sunpak TravelSmart 50 Tripod for light travel photography and it's been a reliable, portable option. It’s compact, easy to carry, and sets up in seconds—perfect for quick shots on the go or backpacking trips. It works great with smartphones and smaller cameras, but it does feel a bit loose when I mount heavier DSLR gear. The legs and head aren’t really built for heavy-duty equipment, so you’ll notice a little wobble if you're using a larger lens or body. That said, for lighter setups, it holds steady and does the job well. Overall, it’s a great value for the price—ideal for beginners, mobile content creators, or anyone needing a lightweight backup tripod. Just know its limits when it comes to heavier setups.

I bought this tripod while on vacation as a last minute need. It was at a crazy good price and in stock so I grabbed it. This tripod had all of the nice features from lever locking legs, video style pan head, a telescoping center column and a bubble level. It was super lightweight and came with a carrying pouch. The tripod also included a camera mount along with a GoPro attachment. I would not recommend this tripod for a DSLR or standard sized mirrorless camera and interchangeable lens. With it only having a 4.4 lb load capacity that will quickly get maxed out with this type of gear. If you need a light weight tripod full of features for use with your phone or GoPro, at a great price, this would be your choice.

A Cheap 50"H Tripod - You get what you pay for.

I needed two tripods for a motorized slider and picked up the Sunpak - TravelSmart 50 Tripods. They are extremely light and cheap (quality and price) 50"H tripods. When I first opened the boxes there was a very strong chemical smell. I threw the boxes away and let the tripods sit outside for half a day and that seemed to take care of the smell. The build quality of the Sunpak - TravelSmart 50 Tripods is very flimsy and I would not trust them with a standard camera like my Canon. For my purpose though (staying in one location, never extended past the leg's apex, and on a level floor) they are working fine. I do not open and collapse them frequently so I do not know how they would hold up over time. They probably would be fine for supporting a smartphone . If someone isn't sure they want to spend more money for a better tripod or they only need one for their smartphone this could be an option. The Sunpak - TravelSmart 50 Tripod is too flimsy for me to recommend them for a regular camera.

It does the job. Cheap enough to not be worth complaining about stability. The legs aren't very weighty, which could be good or bad depending on what you prefer.

I bought this to help me film my videos for my business. I couldnt afford something fancier but its honestly helped me with what I need it for. Ive used it for over half a year and only a handful of times have I dealt with it tipping over.
