Goes through a lot of water for a lot of moisture.

Price was good and doesn't take up much room. Wanted a small EVAPORATIVE humidifier, NOT mist, for my bedroom (odd shaped but approximately 15' x 20'). Many of the items listed seemed like they weren't mist but not clearly specified so had to go to a different website to confirm. Got it delivered as promised. But this thing goes through water like crazy. Note it says 1 gallon but the specs list 3.7 quarts. Using 8 hours/night, I'm filling it up every 2 days. Yes, it's convenient to fill it from the top, after you find a container and fill that with water... Without being able to set the humidity level, even on low it runs all night and puts WAY too much moisture in the air. Thinking of returning it, thought I had a few more days but discovered Best Buy doesn't give 30 days like most places so I've got to make up my mind NOW. Might have to spend more money to get what I want/need.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Works well enough. Turns off before the water is gone is an issue. Good for a cheap backup.
