This film is a riot! I noticed it was on ‘AFI’ list-so I thought I’d check it out and Dude! What a messed up group of characters in this 1950’s film noir/drama/thriller. In fact, I don’t know what this would be categorized as but maybe just Film Noir. What a ride Sunset Blvd is- I had no idea they made films like this back in the 50s.

A love triangle - older woman who was a huge star; younger woman who wants too be a star behind the scenes; and a handsome, unsuccessful screenwriter who narrates the whole story. An almost sinister assistant with a surprising secret tries to keep it all from exploding. And any one of them might have a great motive to murder. Twisting story, engaging shots and reflections all add up to a commentary on love, life, fame and Life itself on Hollywood's 'Sunset Boulevard.'

Great movie classic with a great story and a famous line at the end of the movie.

If you are a fan of older films, this is one you should have in your collection.

One of the best films ever produced, this movie features a top notch cast and a tight, well written script. It is a haunting peek behind the Hollywood curtain, detailing the lengths to which a star will go to, to hang on to fame long after the world has moved on and forgotten them. This film is consistently ranked in the top 100 movies of all time. You will not be disappointed by this fascinating study of old-time Hollywood and the effect that it had on its stars. Highly recommended!

Billy Wilder upset a number of hollywood execs with this "expose". After changing the original opening the film got to being serious. From the early morning police convoy, to the reason William Holden's character is in the pool, he wanted to have one, this film uses the places and the people and the ways of hollywood in the 50's. For film buffs this one of the must haves.

This film has everything it needs to be a forever classic. I can’t stop watching. Gloria Swanson was and is one of America’s greatest actresses.

Sunset blvd is a classic movie everyone should see. Now it is on blu ray I had to buy it for my collection. I really recommend it to others. This is a great print of the movie.

I normaly like action packed car chase movies. But this one I had seen and heard of long ago. Nice to be able to just sit and watch it without it being edited.

Always worth watching, has a slight creepy feel. Love it!!!

The acting and story line in this movie is the BEST !!

I have to start with why I gave it only a 3 star. It's not my normal movie to watch or buy for myself. But the girlfriend wanted it for movie night. It was a good movie. If you like car chases, shoot em up, you might not like this movie because it's not like that. If you want to think a bit, and watch great acting / story movie you'll love this movie.
