WELL WRITTEN, GREAT ENTERTAINING MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this movie. It feels like a classic (it reminds me of The Goonies) adventure/action movie. J.J. Abrams directed and wrote this one. Great job! This movie has the J.J. Abram light glare scenes, action, adventure, comedy, drama and the highlight -> the kids are all great actors/actresses! The adults seem to take a backseat while the young adults take the wheel! I love it and I highly recommend this movie! As for the 4K... it looks even more amazing with amazing sound quality... especially the huge train scene (I won't spoil it!).

Probably the greatest family sci-fi movie of this century. If you are a huge fan of 1980's family sci-fi movies like E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1981) , Poltergeist (1982) , Goonies (1985) , Stand By Me (1986) , The Lost Boys (1987) , The Monster Squad (1987) or Harry And The Hendersons (1987) just to name a few simular classics than this movie is right up your alley. If there is best films made from the 21st Century and if Super 8 doesn't make it on that list something is wrong with the world because this is as classic as it gets.

When you watch this your in for a good time. Good story and characters. A lot of fun. Shot on film. This has Dolby Vision and HDR 10 and has a very good look to it. Much brighter move with a more vibrant image. If you like ET & Goonies this is a must have. Has similar 80's look and feel to it. Dolby True HD 7.1 mix is a nice audio track and even demo worthy. Lot's of atmosphere and environmental action here. This is a top of the line audio presentation and a wonderful listening experience.

This movie reminds me of ET and The Goonies. Not intended for younger audience though. This movie takes ET to another level...a much better level. Where ET was slow and boring, this movie is exciting, suspenseful and funny. A must for movie lovers. The picture quality felt like you were watching a 80s movie (since that's the setting). Very well done. The sound quality on the other hand is amazing. It pushes your 5.1 or better 7.1 to the limit.

I’m not too sure how to describe this movie. If you’re expecting a movie heavily based on something super natural then this isn’t it. Yes there is an alien creature, but I wouldn’t say that is the main focus of the movie. That being said it’s still a great movie that’ll entertain and hit you in the feels a bit.

I had seen the movie before and thought it would be even better in 4k. You've got to see it with the "ATMOS" sound. It's perfect for that- like being in the movie theater. Also a very decent movie, with no bad language or unnecessary violence or sex, or sexual inferences. Of course it gets very loud in the explosive scenes. Great movie!

I had not seen this movie in many years so when I saw it at Best Buy I had to get it. I figured this would be a fun movie for the family. All I can say is if you have a great sound system the train crash scene will knock you out of your seats! It is one of the best explosion scenes you will ever hear in a movie. Just wow!

J.J. Abrams teaming up with Steven Spielberg is always a winning combination. This movie is great from start to finish and like most things involving Spielberg, is a great tool to tap into that inner child as you place yourself right there with the characters on this awesome, supernatural journey.

If you love all those eighties adventure stories, featuring kids or tweens (i.e. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, The Goonies, Stand by Me) or even Stranger Things, then this film is for you. Fine performances from the young leads, as well as the supporting adult cast. Steelbook looks really cool, featuring the Struzan-esque artwork.

A fun movie, but problem is that so many movies are trying to copy the same structure (ET). Be it IT, Stranger Things, and many more, all are trying to get money out of retro nostalgic theme. It is good one time watch. I bought it for the steel-book, and that's the the best thing about it.

just think of it as an ET movie but ET was on massive steroids and working out and eating people. seriously the setting of this movie is so good and cool thats what makes it entertaining. the chemistry between the kids is fun and enjoyable. this won't disappoint the family. it might scare the kids a but tho

The original blu-ray of this movie looks good, but this 4k disc has subtle improvements in the picture's detail. If you're a fan of Super 8, you will want to get this disc. Keep in mind that this package only includes the 4k disc. No regular blu-ray disc is included.

I really like this movie and the 4K format is Awesome. I had to purchase this on-line because it was not available in stores. The disc came scratched inside. I had to return it to the store for a refund. I will purchase another one again in the future.

1hr. 52min of adventure , drama , suspense and emotions , great movie for the whole family, superb sound stupendous grafics and resolution, just dim the lights, set up your 7.2 home theater , prepare your favorite popcorn sit down with the family and enjoy .

as a teen in the 70s this movie brought back memories of making home movies with super 8 movie harkens to those times and old scifi flicks many thingsfrom 70s in this picture is excellent and sound lots of xtras entertaining

Super 8 was an unexpected hit and is actually a really good movie with an great cast and story and the special effects were really good too. This movie felt different than most and i appreciated that. Its unique and has good pacong and direction and the score was good too. I recommend this to anyone really that is a fan of action movies or superhero movies.

I was so excited to get this. I love this movie. The picture and sound are amazing!! That train crash scene is one of the best sounding movie scenes ever. I was blown away. The steelbook cover looks way better than the regular version.
