simple gameplay, traditional bomber man. great family game

Why not a classic since day one and super awesome graphics

This game is more like the originals than the N64 version.

All I had as a kid was Combat. Much better than that Era.

Fun game to play with friends and family that will encourage competitive fun!

I wasn't sure what to expect from this game other than a traditional bomberman game, but it did surprise us that there is a story element to it. The details of the story, how you earn coins in it are lacking and really should have been explained better in game, and if you can ignore the bad acting for a story that really isn't super necessary it is a very fun and challenging game to play with friends.

Worth it for the nostalgia but newer games are better for the switch

The multiplayer is enjoyable as it plays like the classic Bomberman game but the campaign can feel repetitive or slow.

The campaign is somewhat short, at roughly 5 hours, but it's a delightful game. The mechanics are quite simple and easy to grasp, but they're implemented well and they have enough variety that the game retains my interest. It's tough to recommend the game for $50 dollars, but if you have the money and are seeking something other than Breath of the Wild, this is a fantastic pick. The online feature is a nice and fun addition. However, its ranking system is extremely harsh if you don't win every match. You basically have to win in order to increase rank and move on into different tiers, so it gets disheartening quickly when you lose all the points you just gained. But overall, the game is extremely enjoyable, and is a nice change of pace from Breath of the Wild.

The incorporation of a story line to the typical Bomberman game was a nice addition; the different colored Bombermen/women have unique personalities and sayings, which keeps us engaged. Overall, the simplicity of Bomberman is what makes it a good game. Rounds are quick, gameplay is easy, but the strategy and focus required stay challenging. I've yet to be able to beat a bot. I'm definitely hooked.

If you have never played a Bomberman game, might want to look into it's style first. It is so much fun multiplayer. It is by no means a triple A game but one that evokes nostalgia and introduces old school gaming style to new generations while making it's own campaign. This got hit pretty hard with other critics but I think most people that know Bomberman got what they expected with Super Bomberman R

Loved this game on the nintendo! Multi player and fun.

If you enjoy the simple yet difficult to master Bomberman gameplay this is more of the same. Controls seem more difficult using the switch Joycon controllers but still enjoyable. Multiplayer is pure Bomberman mayhem if you enjoy online or have other friends with a switch. If not then this game is a skip for most people.
