One of the best 3D Mario games to ever exist just below the Galaxies and Odyssey. Fun isometric, challenging platformer with Mario and friend. Also has an enjoyable co-op. Lastly, Bowser's Fury is one of the best things Nintendo has done in a while, but too short unfortunately.

Well done port of a game a lot of people did not get to play on the Wii U. Add in an extra storyline and completely new content with Bowser’s fury and this game does not disappoint. I complain sometimes about Nintendo spending so much time doing ports like super Mario 3-D All-Stars which was fun but disappointing in a few ways including the lack of graphics updates. Nintendo knocked this one out of the park however. It’s a polished refresh of an already excellent game that the whole family can play together.

Great game, my son and I love to play together. The games are entertaining (and age appropriate for my 8 yr old).

I decided to double dip and buy this game again since they added fury to it. I also own for wiiU. I remember when this game initially came out I was disappointed that there was not going to be another Mario galaxy or something of that nature.
I’m glad I gave this game a try. It feels like a 2d Mario game but 3D. Great level design, lots of fun, single or multiplayer, ways to speed run and get more of a challenge, good music and sound effects, and awesome power ups. The weakest part of game would be bosses. Though we are not talking dark souls so it’s okay. I recommend.

Two different campaigns showcasing two different styles of 3D platforming in one. The main game, 3D World, takes you and up to 3 friends on an adventure across the Sprixie Kingdom in the classic level based Mario formula.
Bowser’s Fury is a single player adventure on Lake Lapcat, though a second player can tag along with a more simplistic character. Lake Lapcat is one giant open world, where players must collect enough Shines to defeat Bowser’s Fury

If you never played the original Super Mario 3D World on the Wii U, then this game becomes a must buy. If you experienced the game before, then you will have to decide if double dipping is worth the price. Bowser's Fury is an excellent little add on adventure, but I don't think it is worth the asking price just for that. However if you want to scratch an itch for great multiplayer Mario platforming with the added benefit of Bowser's Fury, then you might want to give this a go. Definitely perfect for those who skipped the Wii U.

Mario 3D World has been ported from the Wii U with some bells and whistles. The controls are more responsive and the game runs faster. You can use cat Mario and Peach Amiibo in the game for power-ups. Once you beat the main game there is a ton of post content including a Luigi version of the arcade Mario Bros game. The real star of this package is Bowser's Fury. Open world Mario is something I didn't know I ever wanted till now. This shorter game is full of fun ideas and surprises that makes me hopeful for future games.

It’s classic Mario with a twist. This game was originally released with the Wii U and finally has made it’s way to the Switch. Although the main game is the same. They added on an additional game Bowser’s Fury. The new game is quick to get into as it’s an classic Mario but in an open world format. The game is short but I can see them building on this for the next Mario game. I say pick it up especially if you love Mario!

Excellent Game! The best feature for this re-release, is the addition of 4 player action with your friends! That is honestly the best!
Also, they went out their way to include a whole new 1 player adventure within Bowser's Fury, a very interesting take on this games mechanics with several of Mario's Power Ups. It makes it very Mario Odyssey/Galaxy like, but with 3D mechanics, and its open world!

This is actually two games in one package. There is Super Mario 3d World. And also Bowsers Fury. 3D World is a rerelease from the Nintendo WiiU. The other(Bowsers Fury) is only available in this package. Bowsers Fury is a completely open world Mario game.... and is easily one of the best!!!

I played 3D World on Wii U, so I knew what to expect on that front. It's a little bit faster and a little bit prettier. Still one of the best 3D Marios imo. Bowser's Fury is really neat! It's basically an open world version of 3D World, if that sounds like something you'd be into. The coolest part to me was being able to have back-up power ups that you can switch to whenever you want!

Tons of fun with or without friends. It's basically just a traditional 2D Mario game but in 3D. The levels feel like they are designed the same way and just converted into 8 directions rather than 4.
4 different characters each with their own abilities. Mario is the jack of all trades down the middle. Luigi jumps higher but is a little unwieldy to control sometimes. Peach can float. Toad is speedy but can't jump as well. The inspiration for their abilities of course comes from Mario 2 but they are not exactly the same (especially Toad). Lots of replayability because you need to finish courses with each character to get credit to 100% the game.
Bowser's Fury mode is fun solo or co-op, but be aware it does have a sort of time limit in that Bowser gets tougher as time goes on. Eventually you will HAVE to deal with him and retry later for more pickups.
If you're a fan of Mario, then you're sure to enjoy this.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is a Nintendo Switch port of the Wii U version from 2013, and judging from my 10 hours with the game, the visuals, audio, controls, and the additional content make this another resonating Mario experience.
The visuals look crisp and vibrant--both on the tabletop and docked version. The soundtrack is catchy with a jazz-esque tune across most of the tracks, and it coincides appropriately with the characters, levels, and action. The controls are easy to understand, and with the Nintendo Switch system, there are multiple ways for players to play. There are fun power-ups like Double Cherry and Cat Suit, which can duplicate the playable characters or access abilities like climbing obstacles or pouncing enemies, and the gameplay itself is fluid and bouncy enough to feel like interacting with a high-quality animated movie.
Multiplayer features further enhances the game's playability as it allows up to three more players to play simultaneously; players can play as iconic characters, such as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad, as well as Rosalina, who is unlockable. Being able to play this game on-the-go thanks to the Nintendo Switch is also a great detail; this would be a great game for family vacations or visiting family or a friends house. Multiplayer is also included in the Treasure Tracker Toad levels, which is a neat detail.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is a creative, colorful, and endearing video game with simple controls, bouncy gameplay, a catchy soundtrack, and interactive multiplayer system, and this game has a high playability that can last for years.
While I am aware of the online multiplayer and Bowser's Fury additional content components, I have not yet reviewed them.

Although it doesn’t hit the highs of Super Mario Odyssey, this game is still amazing. The underplayed and underappreciated Super Mario 3D World is a blast, and the additional separate “game within a game” Bowser’s Fury is something brand new and exciting for 3D Mario games. It offers a glimpse of the open world concept that the series may take going forward, and it’s a ton of fun.

Fun game for family multiplayer. I initially got New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe to play with my 3 children, but the 2D platforming was too chaotic and hard with 4 people. This is still chaotic, but the level design means that people aren’t constantly dying.
Bowser’s Fury is also a lot of fun for a more “traditional” 3D Mario game.

Super Mario 3D World is a fantastic Mario game. The level design is awesome and very creative with a lot of secrets and paths to discover. Definitely a game every Switch owner should have. In addition to everything the game had before like the Captain Toad levels, the game has a separate mode called Bowser's Fury that's more like the open world sandbox levels from Odyssey and Sunshine. There's plenty of Mario goodness in this package.

The first time I played it I stoped after completing worlds 1-5. I played the first world with a friend and we spent most of the time cracking up. It had a fun and challenging mix of levels and challenges. If this is your first run on 3D World, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. The Bowser addition was just as fun. I enjoyed the “open world” free roaming style. I’m sure this game would be lots of fun with 2+ players.
