Game is very fun. It allows you to be very creative in making a board for others to play. You also can play all other creators boards. Fun to create with your kids!!!

Mario Maker 2 is a great sequel to the original game on the Wii U. It has more creation tools and options than ever and it's a lot of fun to play too. Creating your own levels is easy and intuitive for the most part. I do wish there were a few more options, such as creating a world of levels you've created that are connected together on a map like in the Mario games. The online functionality is poor and/or lacking in discover-ability features. Nintendo never gets online right though, so this isn't surprising; it's just a missed opportunity to make the game what it should be. The addition of a story mode with about 100 levels, created by Nintendo themselves, to play is a great new feature. Their levels are fun and really teach you all of the different ways you can use the mechanics in your own creations. It's probably my favorite addition, along with all the new level themes and settings you can build around (including some new original Mario music made just for this game!). Overall, this is a great game for your Switch and one of Nintendo's best new franchises in years. Looking forward to more!

Super Mario Maker 2 expands on nearly everything from the original, meaning you get the massive creation tools from the first, plus all new ways to let your imagination run wild.
Plus, if you ever get tired of building and playing your own content, the online community is very active and full of amazingly complex, fun, and/or challenging levels to go through for hours on end. You can find plenty of shared levels and popular courses online, such as Twitter and Discords.
A must-have for any fans of Classic Mario, or Switch owners looking to dish out creativity or experience platforming fun.

For anyone who has played the original Mario Maker, this game takes the good things of that game and expands upon it times 10. For anyone who hasn’t played the original, allow me to explain why it’s so good. This game caters to all kinds of fans. Those who simply want to play levels have plenty at their disposal. Those who want to make levels have tons and tons of unique options that keep allowing to make new and creative levels. I’ve put in 60 hours to this game already, and not once have I felt bored with it. It always seems to offer something new to mess with. It’s certainly worth a try.

Whether it’s a simple but addictive story involving the rebuilding of Peach’s Castle, playing player created platforming levels, or making your own. This game provides tons of value!
While some of the levels in story can be very frustratingly hard, the game offers you two different methods to ease the pain if you can’t figure things out on your own. You can use an assortment of items to pass the level, of have Luigi do it for you. But there’s more glory when you do it yourself.
Highly recommend this game, I got it on Mar10 day for the great price of $40

Great Mario game. It's lots of fun and entertaining. You can spend hours creating your own levels. The story mode is really fun too if you're playing offline.

Super Mario Maker 2 is really great. You can make your own levels, as well as play other people's levels, and you can even play some very unique levels made by Nintendo. There are some levels where you can't jump or you will die. There are levels that play themselves automatically, and you don't even press any buttons, but just watch and be amused. You can even make levels with Link from The Legend of Zelda.

It honestly feels like you have 5 different Mario games with unlimited content. Online Versus is such a blast too! A must have for the Switch, hands down.

Mario Maker 2 is an excellent game. it’s not for me though. you either love to make levels and play other people’s levels (you can find all sorts of examples online of what to expect) or you just want to play the levels Nintendo makes. i fall in the latter camp. and yes, many will point out there is a campaign with lots of Nintendo made levels - however these were primarily made with helping others come up with ideas for creative level designing mechanics. (ie, they’re short and very gimmicky - it’s not like playing a traditional mario). all in all, it’s a high quality product, i’d highly recommend it if you think you’d like tinkering with level design or trying out the stuff you can find online... but if you’re very hesitant like i was and thinking it didn’t look like it was your thing, it may not be.

Kids of all ages will like this game including adults.
It has a story mode as well as a course building mode where you can create your own coarses.
Yo can upload your courses or download other peoples courses as well but Nintendos monthly subscription service is required for that...
that’s not the games fault. This is mandated by nintendo for all the games to use online services. I see some reviews giving less than five stars to this game because of that.
If you like Mario and old-school Mario games then this is the game for you
