Very intuitive controls especially with the level creation. Being able to download others levels makes you feel like a beginner at Mario but still crazy fun.

Great 2-D Mario game that also allows you to create your own levels to share with family, friends, and the rest of the world. If you enjoy Mario and you enjoy challenging others (or ever think "I could have designed that level better") this game is for you.

This game is a great addition to the strong lineup of Nintendo Switch games, that's for sure! I've had a blast playing this game - it's main appeal being able to play, download and compete in stages created by other Switch users. Like the previous two titles, the shenanigans, creativity are beyond what I could ever imagine.

I'm oldschool. I'm not too fond of the co-op 3D Mario games with its frustrating level designs that are obviously not built around co-op. Which is sad because I want co-op Nintendo games. So I decided to go primal and get Super Mario Maker 2. Getting old means lack of creativity in the noggin', so it's nice that you can play other players' levels. Unfortunately that requires to buy a Nintendo Online Subscription, thankfully those are cheap, but still... I've already knew what to expect in terms of player created level designs. Diabolical players creating close-to-impossible levels, and then there's those where you step on a moving platform and the game does all the work for you. While there is a Filter that should weed out the tryhards and the lazy, but from my experience, it doesn't work and that really irks me. So it takes awhile to find a level that is just "normal". The retro gameplay feels a bit the same to me, BUT the inputs are changed and that really irks me as well. For example, the face buttons are just Run and/or Jump. Then you get to Super Mario World controls, the Spin Jump is now on the top buttons. WHY!?

Simply amazing! A most own for Switch owners. I find this significantly more fun than the original. The story mode is loads of fun and very addictive. Completing developer made levels to earn more coins to rebuild Princess Peach's castle and unlock more levels is a fun and rewarding experience that keeps me playing for hours.

Super Mario Maker 2 is perfect for those of us who've always wanted to design their own custom Super Mario Bros. levels. Even if you're not the creative type, you can still experience what other people come up with. From the ridiculously easy to the insanely hard, there's no shortage of what you'll create/find in this game.

This game is a great sequel to the original game. The only real issue is that Super Mario Maker felt right when using the Wii U's game pad, while this one feels off when using just the controller. It's a small learning curve to get over.

It truly is the last 2D Mario game you'll ever need and they heap it on. Story mode, make your own levels. Endless levels and endless modes categorized by difficulty. You can play it a minute or hours and there's something new, fresh, creative, ugly, or fun around the corner

Ok so my 13 year old loves it. He wanted to make his own Mario world which he did but was really excited when other people thought the same thing. Now he got plays everyone else’s worlds. He likes the fact that you can make the new (2019) version of Mario or make an older version (like 1980’s) of Mario world and graphics.

I really wanted to buy this game before, because my 9 and 2 years old like Mario. But I was waiting for it to be in a sale. It’s there Christmas present but my 9 year old play it before and he love it. My son he’s really into building anything so I guess that’s a perfect gift for him.

Super Mario Maker 2 is a great new game for Nintendo Switch. I purchased the game for my Daughter. She plays the game non stop. It is always one of her top choices and she currently has 12 games for the system. The game allows you to create and edit your own Mario video game course. What an awesome game!

Super Mario Maker is a super fun game with near infinite play value! There’s always a new level to go through and play with friends!

This games is really fun and you can lose track of time creating the ultimate super Mario level. Making levels is really easy and kids have no problem learning all the tools. It has a short but very fun story mode that you can play to help inspire you own levels. Great game for any Mario fan.

Super Mario Maker may look like the first one, but it is a whole lot better because it is Switch and many creations can be found that add a whole new lot of levels for everyone that has the game. Some are easy, some not so easy, and others are almost impossible! Look on media sites and see what all the fun is about!

I bought this game for my 2 grandsons after seeing a preview of it. They are only 5 and 9 so i like to buy age appropriate games. I dont think they have stopped playing this since they received it. Its challenging and entertaining for them starring their favorite characters

Great game that builds off the amazing first one! Huge improvements and the multiplayer is a huge plus despite being laggy at time. Overall tons and tons of replay value! Endless mode is a lot of fun and there are tons of great levels to enjoy If you have a switch but don’t have Mario Maker 2, you need to fix that!

I initially bought this for my son, but I ended up playing and loving the game for me! It brings back memories of when I used to play Super Nintendo as a child. I love that it features the old and the new types of Mario within the “Story” feature of the game. Finished the game within two weeks. Excellent buy!

My son loves all the Super Mario Bros video games. Maker 2 was a gift for Christmas and has been his go to game over the past three days and counting. My wife and I prefer he plays Mario Bros games over other popular games out there. I reccomend this video game for that reason and the graphics are amazing.
