My son loves it, it's one of his favorites games to play!

Great story mode , easy to learn , lots of fun and the fact that you build your own levels and plays those built by others means there is no lack of new content . Hopefully future update brings amiibo function back from original other than that this game is great !

I bought it for a birthday present to my grandson and it was the best gift ever

Love how this game has Super Mario 3 graphics to choose from and using Blue Toad as a character on top of that. Two of my most favorite things together, and able to build my own levels and maps. Kids in the family always ask to play this one.

First, why 4 stars? It loses the one star due to the fact that without an active Nintendo Switch Online membership, you lose out on much of what the game has to offer. h owever, those parts of the game (the online experience) are flawed, making it hard to justify a Nintendo Switch Online membership primarily for this game. With Nintendo Switch Online, you have access to other peoples' levels, which you can play or download. Some level-makers put in a serious amount of effort to create fun, classic experiences. The challenge is finding these levels, as it is a major challenge to create a well-designed level, and nearly as hard to unearth the ones that other people have made. The navigation and search functions when looking for levels are passable but could be better. The online multiplayer has (sometimes significant) lag problems and levels are chosen at random. It wasn't very compelling. There is a single-player campaign mode with over 100 levels from Nintendo. This is probably the part of Mario Maker 2 I have most enjoyed, as many of the levels were quite challenging; however, once I played through most (all but two) of those levels, I don't feel compelled to go back to them again. Creating levels is at once relatively easy but also requires more planning than I anticipated. Perhaps that is the part that I will come back to eventually, but the level of time investment it take to learn to make a good level is a barrier.

What a blast this game has been, story mode is short and sweet but full of great new level ideas. The online can be a bit laggy but it seems to be pretty random. Highly Recommended! as this game will keep giving you more and more for the next few years.

Bought this game last year for Christmas and he recently lost it, so I bought it for him again this year. He loves that you can create your own world. I think it is a very creative game.

SMM2 is not just fun, its beyond creative. You have so much at your disposal when making levels its just insane and the levels will keep on coming for a long time, that is value right there!!

The game changes from the original Super Mario to the newer Super Mario, and it doesn't bother you. They've done a great job making the game. You can also make your own map which makes it more competent and challenging

This one is really only if you are interested in Mario (duh) but if you are, this is hours of fun. You can build absurd levels and play others even more absurd levels. A must-have for any Mario fan!

This game is a blast. My husband and I love it. So many puzzling levels to challenge you. Great for all skill levels. So neat to be able to create your own level or play one that others have made. Worth buying for any true Mario Bros. fan!

This improves on the original in every way. You can even make your own world in Mario Maker 2. This is the closest you will get to making your own dream Mario game. This is a must own for ANY Switch owner.

I absolutely loved Super Mario Maker! Being able to create your own levels and try others was mind blowing in 2015. Nintendo's newest Mario Maker improves upon virtually everything from the original. There is now quality control measures in place, so troll levels are far less common, and are taken down much more frequently. The story mode, isn't much of a story, but has over 100 Nintendo designed levels that really show what SMM 2 can do. The multiplayer is a very laggy at times, but honestly that's not why I got the game. There are so many new elements to creating your stages that it really feels like Nintendo has given you the keys to the kingdom.

If you own a Nintendo Switch and like Mario games, do yourself a favor and get this. Especially if you liked Mario Maker 1 on the Wii U or 3DS. The only missing thing is amiibo support but the rest of the package is solid. Get it now!

I have two younger kids who love to make their own levels and the challenge the family to beat them. It is simple to make your own levels and tons of fun to play. Definitely worth the purchase if you like the old mario games!

This is a perfect sequel to the original MM game on Wii U. You can not create a thing and play the awesome levels others post online. Just make sure you have subscription to online service and internet access at home.

I've been playing this game since it came out, and it has been a blast to play. From making your own levels to playing levels that others have created, it's something that anyone can enjoy. Just watch out for troll levels though.

Everything on Best Buy‘s end was as good as to be expected. As far as the game goes, this is a very good game. It includes hundreds of Mario levels with designs spanning across all of the Mario games from the first Nintendo, all the way up until the Wii U.  And there are limitless levels that you can download from other people creating their own levels. Also, you can create your own levels and upload those as well.
