COLD is evolving!

Superfiction is the perfect transition from COLD's last album, A Different Kind of Pain. This is an album full of stories that invoke many powerful emotions and thoughts. Each song tells a tale and there is likely one that everyone will be able to relate to. The music still feels "cold" and the lyrics have matured along with the musicians. Flight of the Superstar gives a "The Killer and the Star" vibe (Scooter Ward's side project) For fans who like both, this is the perfect combination of what everyone has been waiting for for 6 years.

Was six years worth the wait?

The answer to the above statement is yes, Cold's new album superfiction is an amazing album full of stories and amazing melodies. The album starts off with "Wicked Wold" which is an amazing/heavy song telling a story about a king who cheats on the queen with a mistress, and the mistress kills the king. Solid intro song, and it immediately gets stuck in your head. Their is also a music video for wicked world, actually the first music video from the album. Then it goes into "What Happens Now" which is a great/catchy song that is going to be on the new spiderman soundtrack. Then comes "American Dream" a great song about an actress figuring out all she wants is at home. The lyric,"Now the stars don't shine in hollywood will get stuck in your head." The album contines with one great song after another, and all the songs are different in their own way, but still all have that Cold vibe that I love so much. The artwork for this album is superb, and I promise you will look through the booklet numerous times. Also this album was released on vinyl too!!!!!!! Please pick up this amazing album, and it was definatley worth the wait. :)

A fun and creative CD

Superfiction contains rock music mixed with a dark fantasy world. COLD sings about kings, queens, princesses, witches, monsters, and superheroes in this imaginative and unique album. The songs are all fun to listen and sing along to. This CD is a little different than what COLD has done in the past, but even though the sound and the lyrics are different than their previous albums, this is a really great CD. The booklet for the CD has beautiful and creative drawings that correspond to each song.
If you want to hear something really unique from other bands, I would suggest COLD to you because they don't sound like most other bands in the music industry. I would suggest COLD's Superfiction because it inspires the use of imagination and invites you into this dark fantasy world.

i have to honestly say, this is hands down the best album ive listened to/bought in many years. after the long six year wait, what else would it be besides great?! i cannot stop listening to this album! it is very different but all familiar at the same time. its that perfect balance of new and "growing up" and i LOVE the progress these guys have made over the years. from the angry vibe, to the sad, to the happy, and now...kinda like a fantasy type vibe, but the cool thing is, you can still relate it to everyday life and problems. even though its all stories. i just love this album and cant wait to see whats next from these guys!

Cold surprises even its long-time fans with Superfiction, an unbelieveable blend of past, familiar sounds with a new evolution in their music. "Wicked World" serves as a perfect intro track, an aggressive guitar driven anthem that would make any Cold fan happy. But it's after this song that the band begins to dive into new directions their music has never seen before. "American Dream" and "So Long June" are just two highlights of an amazing album from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Cold has been that opened door for me to pass through as i went through the hardest times of my life. When i didn't know where to turn, when i had no where to go, Cold was there to take away my pain with their music. Every album explained my pain. This new album "Superfiction" is NO different. It's a completely new direction with a new ingredient. What's that ingredient? You decide after you purchase this album because i promise you won't be disappointed about this purchase.

I love this album. With the band being on hiatus for 6 years, Cold fans were very excited to hear about the new album being released. One thing's for sure they were not disappointed. Every song written for this album is awesome! You can tell that each song had a lot of thought put into them with each story told in each song. Not only is the music great, but the booklet and album art is so cool. It's just one of those albums that you HAVE to hear before you die. I highly recommend it.

The Track "Wicked World" off of Colds album "Superfiction" is by far my favorite song on the album. It has a almost electronic feel in the intro, followed by a nice powerful guitar riff, when the vocals enter it really sets the mood. The song definitely has its "Hooks" that will linger in your head for days...lol, "Living In a Wicked World" "Theres no way you will escape, No one ever gets away".... This is definitely worth a listen!!!!

I own every other CD by Cold and when i heard they had released Superfiction I couldn't wait to listen to it I ordered it right away and couldn't be happier. This CD like their previous releases is a little depressing at times but there are songs that appeal to various moods, some of the songs are a little slower and a few are a little faster and heavier. I would recommend this to any and all Cold fans.

As an avid COLD fan since the release of "13 Ways to Bleed Onstage", this is a fitting album to be included in their repertoire of amazing, life-changing music. If you have only listened to "Wicked World", purchase the album and continue with the rest of the songs, you will NOT be disappointed!!!

I've been a cold fan for quite some time, so this album was very anticipated for me. I must say, I was not let down. This album has something for everyone. There are heavy songs, melodic songs, great stories, and very cool artwork to go with every song. Anyone who considers themselves a Cold fan will love it. Anyone who's never heard these guys needs to take a listen!

After 6 years of long wait for their loyal fans, Cold delivers the evolution of the band with melodic music and Scooter's heart-touching lyrics. From 'Wicked World' to 'The Ballad of The Nameless' Cold tells a story of recovery, healing and hope. Highly recommended for true fans and anyone who will fully appreciate Cold from their self-titled album to 'Superfiction'.

Superfiction is a incredible take from the band COLD. They came back with a new, fresh sound and some vivid stories and lyrics. Its plenty hard and also soft. And its a great mix of everything COLD has made since Year Of The Spider, and I think fans who loved the older cds will also LOVE this one too! It didnt disappoint me one bit :D

After 6 years, for me, this album has been majorly anticipated. If you have enjoyed their work in the past, i.e. 13 Ways To Bleed On Stage, this will be a breath of that same air. Brand new tale though. For any hardcore COLD fans, you will not be disappointed. For new listeners, prepare yourselves, it's going to be a WICKED ride! :)

This has got to be THE best Cold album. Every song is great and has a deep meaning behind it. The Cover art and the artwork associated with each song helps you visualize the story being told in each song. Overall, even if you have never heard of Cold before, you will definitely love this album.

Amazing album, One of my favorite Cold albums yet. Its up there with Year of the Spider. by cold, yet again. I can't wait for them to go back into the studio again, and for them to come back to CT. This album still hasn't gotten old for me yet, and I don't think it will any time soon.

After disbanding and reuniting, Cold has moved on to release what is perhaps their most powerful record to date. It shows the bands musical progression and refinement with a sound that is harder and more polished. I highly recommend it for any and every post-grunge fan!
