I was one of the buyers of this who did not look into it as much as I should have! I have the Surface PRO 3, not the Surface 3. This dock will NOT work with the PRO tablet. Best Buy accepted my return and I am happy but want to make others aware! This is for the Surface 3 only.

works great and is great for home usage to plug in more usb devices

So far has worked like a charm. Was using a regular wall charger for my Surface 3 and it seemed to take forever. Decided to get the docking station to basically use as charging station and bang this is the ticket. Snaps right in and charges must faster the any other charger i have used. As far as using it for a true docking station to make your Surface 3 more like a desktop i cannot attest too as i have not utilized any of the other features incorporated into this unit.

I have never considered a Surface but after reading all the great reviews of the Surface 3, I checked it out. It is finally an awesome tablet. I love it. If your on the fence, get it. It works... period. It does what it say it does with little frustrations.

I purchased this docking station for $149.99 (it was on sale for just 100 during Christmas) and I haven't regretted it. My only complaint, and this could be a cable problem, is that my surface likes to go to sleep while I'm using it (docked and connected to the external screen). I don't understand why, and haven't found a remedy, but it can be annoying

A solid choice for docking your Surface 3 and keeping it viewable. Doesn't have the smallest footprint on your desktop, so if you're cramped for space I'd check out one of the smaller Surface docks. Solid design, does exactly what's expected. If you can catch it on sale, you can't beat the price.

Plenty of extra connections and ports in a slim tidy setup - very easy to connect the Surface in, and bring it out for travel.

The Surface 3 Docking Station allows me to quickly grab my Surface 3 when I'm on the go. At my desk, I have it set up with a monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse so I can work on document, slideshows and maneuver though my online classes. Fabulous purchase!

The dock for the surface 3 is ideal for those that have a desk that they typically work at and need a hub to provide more ports for their Surface 3. Additionally the dock I finds actually charges the computer fastet then the supplier micro-usb charger.

This docking station works well with my Surface 3 AT&T model. It quickly allows me to bring it in the house after being on the road and be up and running in full desktop mode in seconds. It just as quickly disconnects to allow me to hit the road again later. If you use your Surface at a desk I highly recommend this docking station. It has all the connections you need (more USB would be nice, but a hub works fine too) and also includes a separate AC adapter so you don't have to connect your travel charger when you get home. Nothing worse than climbing under your desk every time you want to use your Surface at home. So with this I don't have to and it's great! I should note I was able to pick it up on sale which made it a great value. It would still be nice at full price, but everyone loves a deal.

Purchased out of box and received it in perfect condition. Looking forward to purchasing accessories, adding to this awesome docking station.

The Surface alone lacks enough USB ports for flexible uses. The docking station solves the problem.

this is just what I was looking for. I wanted to use my tablet as a tablet, but yet wanted to be able to use it sorta as a laptop when at work. It works GREAT. The best accesory piece I bought for my surface 3!

This docking station did not fit the Surface Pro 3 Tablet that I purchased at the same time. I had to return the product to store and they were unable to get the model that fit the tablet I just bought

Buyer beware -- while this is a great dock for the Surface 3, it is NOT a dock for the Surface PRO 3. that's a very important distinction since there is NO way for the Surface Pro 3 to fit inside this dock. Be sure you have just a Surface 3 before buying, and you won't be disappointed.

Great accessory for the surface pro 3. It has transformed my tablet into a desktop computer when paired with a monitor.

I bought this after having a demo a few weeks earlier on a trip to Dallas. Everything I could have asked for.
