I needed something that could shield my phone from the dusty environment of my job and the grime that my fingertips often get from that very environment. The Otterbox Defender for the XS Max was not available at Best Buy (I didn't want to get the Pro version) so I needed the next best alternative and it led me to the Survivor case. Simply put, this case is good and gives me peace of mind. It is much easier to install than the Otterbox Defender. The mute switch is covered which means that the red portion of the switch won't turn brown due to my dirty fingers flipping it. The lightning port is covered which means the lint in my pocket won't buildup in it to the point where I'll have to get surgical and remove someday because it's hindering my phone's ability to charge. But what truly makes this case a much more special piece of protective gear over the Otterbox Defender is the fact that there are sheets of film where the two bottom speakers are. Any iPhone I've had has had lint and dust buildup on the speakers as the months go on and it's a bit discouraging to see when you've spent so much money on a premium device that has dust protection on nearly everything except the speakers. The film between the speakers and the outside world has already caught plenty of dust and lint without hindering the sound quality. There are a few not-so-goods about this. Namely the screen protector. It doesn't rest tightly against your phone's screen so when you tap on the screen, you're going to hear the sound of your fingertip hitting flimsy plastic. It sucks. It makes your premium device feel cheap and it collects oils from your fingers that also distort the view of your screen. The good thing is you can remove the screen protector with just your hands and it doesn't leave any residue behind. Another screen protector will fit just fine with the Survivor case on it. The other not-so-good is the creaking. The hard, plastic exterior creaks and sometimes squeaks depending on how you're holding your phone. It will be noticeable at first but you will get used to it. Otherwise, this is a good alternative to other tough cases and you should absolutely consider it.

Protects the phone from drops and dents. A bit bulky, if you work outdoor it’s a perfect pick. Great value for the price.

This case was not very expensive and is all over protection for my phone. My one wish would be a tiny bit less bulk

Bought some cases from Amazon but they did not last for more than couple of months. This case though does not look sleek but is very rugged and durable. Recommend it highly. The belt clip is very well designed so that it does not break when getting in and out of car. Usually most cases break in those moments

It's not as comfortable as an otterbox was for holding, but I do like the ease that you can use everything on it and take it apart for cleaning if needed. My only main gripes are the case feels slick which compared to the Defender cases is slightly annoying and that the power cord port is cheap plastic.

It’s really good it does what it supposed to do . More for some Some one that is always moving around taking you phone allot . A bit bulky but it will protect your phone really well .
