I've owned 5 SVS subs over the years from the venerable 150lb PB13 Ultra and PB 12 Plus DSP to the PB1000. This is my first SVS sub that uses their newest Sledge amp with 295MHz DSP and the phone app. So far, it has been a great experience. The SB3000R sounds very clean and has gobs of output for its size. I would say the sound signature is punchy but it still has some "weight". Being a sealed sub it doesn't plumb the depths quite as well as its much larger, ported brethren but it still goes below 20Hz and with some authority. I doubt many would find anything to complain about here. I'm using a single SB3000R with my PC in a 23x14x9 room and it has more than enough output with power to spare. Watching Season 2 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters has been a lot of fun and it shook the house. I actually ended up buying the optional SVS Soundpath isolation feet to keep the kitchen lights downstairs from rattling. If I had one complaint it would be that I miss the old metal grill. The new cloth looks clean and I'm sure it saves the company a buck but the old grill gave SVS subs their signature look and it actually protected the driver! If you are looking for a powerful sub with a small"ish" footprint and a clean appearance that will work with most living room decor, give this SB3000R a try.

Best overall subwoofers I have owned in my home

Bought 2 of these from Best Buy. I have owned a few Hsu subwoofers and a few SVS subwoofers, including the PC-2000 Pro's among others. Overall I am more impressed with these than any of them. Clean, tight, powerful, and loud. Impressive sub bass response in my room. Rattles stuff in my home even with the SVS isolation feet. Adds a totally new dimension to my Philharmonic Audio BMR Monitors crossed over at 80 hz, high and low passed. The ported subs I have owned may have more output at 30hz-35hz and below, but I can't tell it to be honest. These are tighter, more detailed, and faster sounding even at low volumes. I also owned dual SVS 3000 micros and they aren't in the same league as these, especially below 40 hz. Not inexpensive by any stretch, but worth it, imho. Very impressive, and highly recommended without hesitation.

I originally bought the SVS 2000 Pro. It was okay, but it lacked the impactful bass that I wanted from my music. I returned the 2000 and purchased the SVS 3000 R. WOW! What a difference for not that much more money. And the size was very similar to the 2000, so it fit in my space very well. The subwoofer has it's on calibration so it's not necessary to spend extra money on the DIRAC bass option. That's a nice touch.
