Purchased the Lorex 4 wireless camera set with the 7 inch monitor/dvr combo originally. Was OK but nothing special and the range was somewhat limited. I figured if I was running the cable to power these cameras I might as well do it right, so I returned the Lorex and purchased the Swann HD camera set with the dvr which can be accessed from the internet. Best decision I could have made. Setup was a little more complicated, but not much. Like I said there isn't much difference in running 3 cables per camera for this HD set with a lot more features than the 1 cable per camera for the Lorex set. Much better picture, the dvr can be accessed from the internet, and it saved me $80.

The viewing angles on the camera at 90 degrees are amazing for coverage. The installation of the cameras are very simple and easy to do.

Had several systems. Mostly wireless. Always had interference. This wired system was easy to setup! Very happy with the system!

Great product Setup and install very straight forward. Lack of detailed manual, but there online support makes up for it.

Now I say easy, and it is if you have proper access to run the cable and make the proper connections. Configuration was via a wizard which really simplified things. Customize your zones and email settings; the software within has a lot to offer. It's great to remotely monitor the land with physically having to be there.

The cameras are high def so the picture/video quality is very good. The wires that come with the package are very thin and not very long. The thin wires create a loss in video quality.

I like the clear resolution of the camera but setting up the online access to it took a while. I needed to call customer support to do it. Otherwise, everything is working out fine.

This is a great camera system after the headache of the initial setup. That process was a little tedious. But the camera quality is good and it functions very well for my needs.

After having a previous Swann DVR system at our old house, this was an easy purchase and provides more/updated features.

Good for beginners, it was easy to install and installer net is scheduled to arrive next week for dvr net work connection

Nice clarity and is doing the job intended. One problem is that the instruction manual is not very informative. But over all I would recomend it.

We really like the cameras and the recorder, but the cables are just okay. We chose to use after market cables for longevity.

Using this system for business. It was easy to set up and install. Really like the features of this system. The convenience for remote monitoring with my smartphone was the seller for me with this system.

This is the third camera kit that i have installed. It was the easiest of all. I allreary had my old cameras where i wanted them so i just used them. I downloaded Swannview plus on my iphone amd used it to scan the code on the DVR. The entire setup process took just a few minutes. In the past i would call an expert, then he would show up eventually, then he would work on it for about an hour. I didn't pay anyone to get it done, and the software automatically chooses between wifi and cell towers.

Worthwhile purchase for home protection. Recommend using professional installation services (i.e. Install.com). Will need 8.1 Windows to use online functions. SwannView Plus site is acceptable, and does keep accurate recordings of motion-activated video, however, not very user friendly, especially to save data to a flash drive using the enclosed 8-channel DVR.

Pretty easy install. Works well except the motion sensing feature picks up motion late sometimes.

Installed 4 cameras & 3 hours later 1 of them stopped working. We tested the cable, plug, & wires per the Swann technicians recommendation. Concluded it was a defective camera. We had to pay an additional $10 to ship the camera to them. They shipped a new one to us 5 days after they received ours at no cost. It works now & is worth the cost.
