    Great camera quality, Bad Phone App

    The camera image quality itself is actually very good, clear 4K footage, solid night vision, and the PoE setup is straightforward. From a pure hardware standpoint, the cameras do what they’re supposed to do. Unfortunately, the software experience completely undermines the system. The NVR is constantly showing as “offline” in the app, which makes remote viewing nearly impossible. If you’re at work, away from home, or simply want to check who’s at your front door without turning on a TV or monitor that the NVR is physically connected to, it should just work, and it doesn’t. Looking at recent App Store reviews, this seems to be a widespread issue. The app appears to have significantly declined in reliability. What’s frustrating is that this system used to work well, so something clearly changed on the software side. Because of this, I wouldn’t recommend this system for PoE cameras despite the attractive price and good image quality. Security cameras need to be reliable above all else, especially for remote access. I’d suggest spending a bit more on a system with a more dependable app and backend, even if the upfront cost is higher.
